I like some British comedy, but not enough to say it's better.

          I'll go with the Brits. I wouldn't necessarily say it's a slam-dunk case, though.

There's a lot of bad british sitcoms, but there's even more bad american sitcoms. Futher, the top quality british programs tends to be a little bit better on average.

British humour, because it tends to let you find the jokes rather than have them labelled "Joke, now laugh".

British comedy is horrible with a few exceptions.

British humour, when well done, always crack me up

Good American humour is solid, but is often too obvious or dependant on the same mechanics. I enjoyed Seinfeld or Friends very much, but it doesn't even come close to Monty Python's or Blackadder, which turn me into a hysterical state

And btw, why wasn't Laz and the Gimp listed under British humour?

Blackadder, Red Dwarf and French and Saunders vs Futurama, WillandGrace and Frasier...
There's more volume of good American comedy, but Britain still just about has the edge on quality...

He's funny, in a "I pity him" sort of way.

He's like Jay Leno, only Leno gets paid a lot more than Bullard...
