The Romans accepted a Peace treaty from the Americans. Its was a nice gesture and hopefully will be the start of friendly relations between our two nations. We also hope the American/Dutch crises is resolved in a peaceful way.
This is a day that will be remembered as a black mark on the pages of history.
The Americans have seen fit to attack the Dutch - details are lacking at this time, but it is still disheartening to see nations resort to bloodshed. The Greek Senator who earlier warned about the distinct possibliity of instability in the quest for peace has been elevated to the War Intelligence Department for his insight.
No official word from either side, but it is somewhat disturbing that it falls on the Greek nation to be the one who has to report this on the public forums.
The big picture is slowly coming into view...
On the lighter side of the news, GDU special forces were able to take back one of the revolting cities from the Russian Arachists - the self-styled capital in fact. A second city was unfortunately destroyed, and a RA settler was executed.
GDU military officials are quietly confident that the Greek nation will once again be united soon.

To the Aztecs and all nations:
The Greeks and the Americans have both entered into battle today. The Americans have exhausted all diplomatic means possible - I'm not sure about the Greeks
Since the Greeks would like an account, the following eye witness account is offered by local residents. "A land dispute was created by Dutch settlers who along with military support ousted local beaver trappers and established a city within the city radius of the Americans. After peaceful attempts failed (including an offer to trade the Beaver to the Dutch), military force was necessary to expel the intruders -of which there were no survivors.
A similar situation was rectified when another Dutch city which was established to overlap with an American city, was removed by force. Other light and sporadic fighting also broke out across the countryside. American casualties were light and they are being honored as heroes of freedom.
On other news, the record breaking heat wave continues to enfold the soutern states, 109 in Houston. In baseball, the Chicago White Sox contiue to lead the league.
Regards from the Americans

It is rather odd that the Greeks who aren't even at peace with themselves are the ones clamoring for details of a distant battle. How do you do one of those big grins?
Nonetheless, the Americans wish the Greeks well on their fight against socialism or whatever it is they are fighting against.
It is the opinion of the Greek leadership that any attack should be reported by the countries involved, as the opinions of the world are often shaped by those events. Silence usually incriminates the guilty.
Greek industrialists rejoice at the construction of the first mill, as we now join those nations of the world who befoul the environment...

Yes, Phil Y the Warfare Guy, the Romans want to hear about it too. We would like to hear the Dutch side of story too, but I have a feeling there is a snowball's chance in hell of that happening.
Anyway, we too are building mills and all the various whatnots that create a busy and bustling metropolis. Now that the effects of that evil wonder have worn off we can get those lazy entertainers back to work.
The Americans have also enjoyed the fact that the effects of Emancipation have worn off. Enough generations have past that all workers are equally paid and equally regarded in our civilization.
We too are moving entertainers to more productive work, but the transition has been hard for Bob Hope. He just doesn't swing that pick like I want him to. Gallagher does a little better, since he has built up the shoulder muscles smashing mellons and whatnot.
Maestro,
That's the way it should be. I saw a 16th or 17th century mill and can't understand what would cause pollution. It seemed to be a couple of large wheels turned by natural water flow.
I think that CO2 from cows cause more pollution! (oops, I shouldn't have mentioned that, they may try to reduce cow emmisions by strapping some type of device to their posterior!).
Sporatic fighting continued as Greek forces were able to defeat a Russian Archer unit that somehow managed to break through to the heart of Greece

Maximus slowly saunters over to the pasture where Phil has his emmission controlled cows. He pulls out his Bic lighter and puts it up to the posterior device and gives it a flick.
POOF
.. instant cow rocket.
"hmmm.."
Maximus says as he scratches his chin and ponders the military potential of such a device.
