    bit of a better translation
    Greetings Realms,

After long discussions and deep analyses, we have a peace proposal that will permit us to give a turn to the present situation of blockade. We hope that you evaluate the proposal correctly and you think of the benefits it will bring you from now and through the future
    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    Definitive Proposal:
    - Peace Agreement .
    - NAP FOR 40 turns. ("slightly" different than babelfish )
    - Nationalism for Gunpowder.
    - Alliance against templars

In this point it is important that you do not say anything of this with the PAL, neither with Bananas, nor with Templars, they must think that we are not allied. We will say it is our unilateral decision. Yes they can know that a NAP between us exists. This is very very important because we must explain this to our up until now friends in the best possible way. For example we do not like that you send diplomacy three-way with Bananas, Relams and Imperio.

    - The four cities of Templars are for us. You only have to capture Jerusalem and to give it to Imperio once you have the control of the city.
    - As very behind schedule we will declare war on Templars once you capture Jerusalem. Although if we can, we will do it before. This is vital because our image will be left very deteriorated and thus we hide our alliance a little and will surprise Templars better.
    - The agreement accepts and closes the following turn, not this. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Think about it well because it is the only exit that we see. Imperio is preparing for a long war against you and this could be your last opportunity to change the situation. The truth is that we have nothing to lose and if you do not accept these minimal conditions peace does not interest us because we do not see benefits in it. The truth we are giving a turn to the game, if we did not leave reforzaos we will not do it.

    A strong hug,

    Imperio
Not sure about the last sentence about reforzas

Is the proposal that obviously unacceptable? Do we really need the rest of the Templar cities? We're already struggling at 30% research. If Imperio is so hot and heavy on Jerusalem far beyond the city's actual value, why not just let them have it? We can still settle between Fishy and Jerusalem.

I think getting Gunpowder in trade represents far more economic value than anything that the remainder of the Templar cities would produce for us. We really need to get out of this crazy stalemate and attack PAL.

        Bunch of clowns.
So do we forward this to Banana (yes, for sure) and Templars (??) and maybe PAL (?!).

I am with T-hawk that it doesn't seem THAT bad. One thing that I'd like to see mentioned is them closing borders or taking other actions against PAL.

I'm logging into the game and may be able to chat to Imperio live (in Spanish). I'll just say we're discussing the deal unless you guys want me to try to negotiate.

I thought of this idea: Imperio want a 40 turn NAP and will enter the war once we get Jerusalem and hand it to them. How about we agree completely with their proposal but take a very long time to capture Jerusalem. That way they don't get to capture Acre and Constantinople quickly. We delay the capture of Jerusalem for as long as possible. We give it back and when our NAP runs out we simply take it back and smash them. At the same time we encourage banana to take Acre and settle a city on the southern coast. We settle a city 3E of Pink Dot and the southern city east of Something Fishy and push culture into them heavily, so that when we do give up Jerusalem it is swamped by our culture.

I can't tell if they're actually logged in. When I was connecting it said connecting to Imperio. I've forgotten the link to civstats, how do I go there?

They are not logged in. Banana have just traded with them though and are logged in.

We probably have enough people around that if we set up another chat room, we could commment in real time to the Imperio chat

@soooo - I like it. Maybe say something like you can have Jerusalem when you close borders / embargo PAL

It looks like they logged out right before I logged in... I wonder if that was a coincidence...

Well, we have a Banana holding back their Gunpowder research in hope of getting it from Imperio. Any deal excluding Gunpowder to Banana is not acceptable.

                          Another idea:
We agree get Gunpwoder and our stack freed but do not hand over Jerusalem. basically doing what Imperio does to the Templars and PAL = not honoring their agreements.

Alternatively we cpature Jerusalem, obvisously slave it down to size 1 (units, missionaries) and settle our filler cities around it. We only give it back once Templars are dead. by then we will have established quite some culutral pressure against Jerusalem.

Alternative 2: We capture it and give it to Imperio straight after they declare on Templars and let Templar reclaim it. Difficult.

Alternative 3: We let Banana take Jerusalem from the sea, obviously helped by us. What can we do.

But I really feel to ignore Imperio. What they ask for is utter nonsense.
I would be hugely disappointed if there is a majority agreeing to their terms.

Not that it's really necessary any more, but here's my translation of their letter:

                              Dear Realms,

After a lot of discussion and analysis, we have a peace proposal that can turn around the current stalemate. We hope that you evaluate the proposal and will see the benefits that it will bring in the future.

                              -------------------------------------------------------------------

                              Definitive Proposal:
                              - Peace agreement

                              - NAP for 40 turns

                              - Nationalism for gunpowder

                              - Alliance against Templars
It is important that you do not mention this alliance to PAL, Banana, or the Templars. They should not know that we are allied. We will say it is our unilateral decision. It is OK for them to know that there is a NAP between us. This is very important because we have to explain this to those who have been our friends up to this point in the best way possible. For example we do not like you sending three-way diplomacy to Banana, Realms, and Imperio.

                              - The Templars' four cities are ours. You only need to capture Jerusalem and give it to Imperio once it is under your control.

                              - We will belatedly declare war on the Templars once you have captured Jerusalem. Although if we can we will do it beforehand. This is important to prevent our image from deteriorating too much and this way we will hide the alliance a little and better surprise Templars.

                              - The agreement will be accepted and closed next turn, not this one.

                              -------------------------------------------------------------------

Think about it well because it is the only exit that we see. Imperio is prepared for a long war against you and this may be your last chance to change the situation. The truth is that we have nothing to lose and if you do not accept these minimal conditions we are not interested in peace because we do not see the benefit of it. In truth we are trying to turn the game around, and if we do not end up reinforced we will not do it.

                              A strong hug,
                              Imperio
