Donovan unquestionably needs to cut us some kind of break - inadvertant or not, he royally screwed us over with that Imperio trade.

What I can't understand is why Donovan seems to think Imperio is being suckered by PAL. If anyone has been suckered by PAL, it's Banana! I know much of that was before he was in charge, but still...

Anyway, I like the suggestion of researching Paper and lightbulbing Education with a Great Scientist. That seems the best use of our current assets, IMO. Dunno what we'll do about missing Gunpowder though, sigh. Hope that Imperio is foolish enough to trade it to us?

OK, am I just being paranoid or over-analytical, but this comment from Donovan has me worried:

Have we talked to him about Cape Town that much, or has he picked up its significance from conversations with Imperio?

Hopefully he will realise just how royally he's screwed us and offer us some sort of concession (and really, not taking our Horses isn't a great one), because I don't think we can afford to push too hard for one ourselves.

We should also remember that he has our map in his back pocket, and there's no way to track what he's done with it....

No, you can see city defences by selecting the unit, and he can see Cape Town, so I think you are being paranoid

But surely to see the defenses verses a Gunpowder unit, you would have to select a Gunpowder unit ... and we know that he doesn't have any.

But actually my real concern was that he mentioned Cape Town at all since I don't think we have talked about it particularly prominently with him, while it's high on Imperio's mind.
