Secondly, banana blundered because he didn't realise that you need two different GPs to start a GA! He gets another great person in 3 turns (T166) and it's 78% to be another scientist! We worked things out and discovered that if it's another scientist he can lightbulb both PP and chemistry with 2 GSs if he does it before he gets astronomy (to block Sci Meth which is otherwise higher than chemistry).

This is very good news for us! #1 because we're getting some excellent techs in the race to catch up with PAL, and #2 because we know that Donovan is no threat to win the game if we start withholding advice from Banana.

Well, to be honest, I think it is more a question of not realizing the second GP is of the same type.

How about trying to organise chats with Donovan instead of exchanging emails? I think we'd be able to stop him making more weedy moves that way (and reap plenty of benefit ourselves).

I like the idea of the chats. And we should definitely offer him tactical advice on dealing with PAL. (Is there a chance of him successfully capturing PAL's border city that is so badly positioned?)

Yes, a 2-mover attack with total surprise would probably work. But to achieve surprise Banana would probably need to violate the NAP. Does anyone see them violating the NAP or even being willing to strike first? I don't.

Proposal to Banana, seeing as there's a clear majority to try for the three way NAP:

Hi Donovan,

We got an email from PAL proposing a bilateral NAP. We're never going to agree to this, but we thought we'd try to get them to sign an unconditional 3-way NAP between PAL, RB & Banana. We'd offer it for 20-30 turns.

We think it would benefit us both more than PAL, as we can pool out research efforts to close the current military tech gap during those 20-30 turn. We realise PAL is unlikely to accept, but they may see a benefit in having those 20-30 turns to polish off Rabbits unmolested. What do you think?

Also, we were wondering whether you'd like to arrange regular chats to discuss the game?We think this would be more efficient than pinging emails back and forth about tech and strategy.

I think we should just get this email to banana quickly so we can then reply to pal. We can discuss attacks once the nap is in place - whether or not there is a nap banana needs to be building units, so we can assess attack possibilities once a sizeable stack of knights exists.

How go things? We were wondering if you had an ETA on when we might trade back for our horses. We don't need them for very long, but we wondered if you might be able to complete your knight builds and then allow us to slave out a round of our own.
