Just an "IMO" but I don't think the diplo threads should be stickied. I hate forums with a dozen threads all permanently stuck at the top. The Turnplayer one should be sufficient, and let the others move up and down as we need them.

For the record, I have found your team to be perfectly trustworthy so my issue is not with the uncertainty of getting Astronomy from you. It is with the fact that you would get to enjoy the benefit of Banking and Gunpowder for quite some time before we would enjoy the benefits of Astronomy. No matter how you look at it, our generosity in this case grants you a free advantage in the coming turns and seems like a foolish move for a mid-level team like Banana to be granting a team stronger than us, no matter how cordial we are.

Yet your description of how Banking can hasten the completion of our pending trade is a huge selling point. That's why I have sent it. Does this mean we will have the same discussion in 6 turns once we discover Gunpowder? Quite possibly, so please be prepared to give me an updated estimate on how Astronomy is going, as well as reasoning explaining why Gunpowder is an absolute necessity for your survival at that point. Not just for quicker decimation of your weaker rivals, but for the safety of your citizens.

Once again, I hope you can appreciate where I am coming from. Please let me know if you have any other questions or concerns regarding my stance.

In other news, PAL is getting fiesty with us. They refused our banking deal officially, and also asked us to remove a galley from their territory (one that is trying to get back home, but yeah, trying to unveil those last 2 cities too). PAL isl sending 4-6 Macemen (so far) plus Cats up to Rabbit territory. The Rabbit Iron city of Eisenberg seems to be well defended at the moment (7 units plus walls), but should fall easily if PAL get Muskets. Not sure how that will happen though, so outlook good for now.
