As for public thread, I am tempted to post something along the lines of "he who comes to us with a sword shall die by the sword". (Is there a similar famous quote in English?)

There is a slight chance we might even have a chance on threatening Jerusalem in a couple of turns.

As posted in the turnplayer thread, Templars have moved their big stack towards Pink Dot, where it will be slaughtered mercilessly

WHile I was in the game (well, I'm still in) it popped up a message saying Templars was trying to contact me.

I have to say I was terrified of somehow messing things up, but I managed to do okay

It was Hercules. He said he had a letter prepared to send to us, and he was going to play the turn and then send the letter. So I guess we should expect it soon.

I'll stay in the game a bit and see if I see the stack moving towards PD.

RB team,

I quote from our Ambassador Aidun's report to us.

" I have also urged them to observe 'some restraints' as to their military activities, especially around Jericho. RB apparently interpreted that as 'no pillaging'.'......

.....Things seem to work out more or less now, with an informal kind of a cease-fire as long as we talk".

It was our team's understanding that a 'de-facto' cease fire was in place during negotiations, which is why our stack on the border near Pink Dot stayed in situ. However RB did not abide by that informal arrangement and instead continued to attack us.

The de-facto 'cease fire' was also part of the reason we didn't argue to the reloading of the RB error with the Horse Archer.

So from our perspective, not only has RB been selfish about land border proposals but also dishonest about 'peace making': RB was simply land grabbing and buying time.

Our main intention at the outset on this island was to achieve an equitable split of the island and its resources, long argued for by Sir Aidun on our behalf.

Indeed Sir Aidun went out of his way as to NOT demand but to ask you what you thought might resolve the situation.

We recognised that a war between us 3 would hand the game to PaL. We thought you would grasp that fact and offer a reasonable settlement, that would allow us Templars and indeed Imperio, hope for the future.

You have not grasped that opportunity. So yes you may win the battle against us on this island but you will lose the game.

"Herc,

Aidun is making stuff up. We never promised to limit the war in any way.

We can keep talking past one another, but the "fair distribution stuff is BS." You want us to split the number of land tiles evenly while leaving you and your ally with both better land and more wonders and religions. For the last time, this is synonymous with RB asking for free infrastructure now because we focused on expansion earlier.

Finally, if you consider bad, irrational play that lets another team achieve a cheap win as some kind of small victory, congratulations. We'll have our own small victory atop the ashes of your cities."

EDIT: Also, isn't it funny they waited until AFTER their city fell to let us know they thought we had some sort of no-attacking agreement. Of course it makes total sense to park their stack (which couldn't cover the city anyways) but not email us making sure are units were just passing through
