Woot, way to go mh! I saw it on CivStats just before I logged in here. See, I told y'all we could get them to crack if we kept working at it.

On another note, I definitely do not like the diplo style the Templars are practicing. They never officially responded to our email(s), they dragged the turn timer out until the last possible minute to accept our deal... I mean, what was the point of all that skullduggery? Every transaction shows up on CivStats, so it's not like you can hide what you're doing.

Anyway, we got what we wanted. That's probably the last tech that we'll ever NEED to get from Templars. Theology is nice, but not critical, as it's on an entirely optional part of the tree. With the rate our respective economies are running, it's somewhat unlikely that we'll see the Templars holding an important monopoly tech over us again. We still have to remain nice to them until we find our what Imperio's going to do. After that, or if we get another NAP in place with Imperio? Well, let's just say that the Templars themselves turned down an extention of our NAP, which may have been short-sighted of them...

One thing to clarify for me please, if by chance I had accepted the MC deal in T117 and not in the last second of T116, we would not be able to trade for Machinery this turn, correct?

If so, Templars action was deliberate.
