I'd be OK with that, provided we also remind them of our wines proposal:
We are willing to make a substantial Technology offer; in addition to which we are willing to put a down-payment on your first tradable Sugar resource. We would immediately make available one of our Wine resources, to be cemented as a swap as soon as you have a spare Sugar available.
Please wait at least ~6 hours to let others comment before sending anything. I agree that speed is important, but so is this potential offer.

I agree with M_H, we should leave the Wine deal out for now - at least partly because we will only have 2 Wines connected next turn and we have already promised one to Pal for their Gems, and need the other for ourselves!Last edited by Dreylin; March 3, 2009, 11:38. Reason: I really should read the whole post before repeating someone elses points!

Well, the promise they made on Sunday has not been fulfilled...
...and resuming my role of devil's advoacate regarding Templars, why don't we offer HBR & Aesthetics for MC in-game? Maybe Templars could blame 'turnplayer error' for trading us the verboten tech when Imperio comes calling? Got to be better then sendning another email for them to discuss for a couple of weeks...

While you try that, we can also send sooooo's email without last line (to avoid sounding like we want them to break agreements):
Noble Knights Templar,
We wish to offer you aesthetics, literature and horseback riding for metal casting. We believe this is a very good deal for you and have offered the first part of the trade in-game. You get a massive beaker advantage and a military tech (further evidence of our peaceful intentions towards you).

Dear Team RB,
I would like to first apologise. I will not go into detail to explain,
but the last few weeks have been incredibly busy for me and things
will remain that way in the future. I'm doing a second graduate year
for a second graduate degree, and this semester is asking so much of
me that I can't even properly fulfil my study obligations. This is a
fairly recent development, but it's very likely going to be that way
until at least the end of May. I should have informed you, but this
has come pretty much as a surprise and in general I underestimated it.
So that's whay I didn't respond.
Logically, this game and the diplomacy (for which I had become the
sole player responsible after others had to lower their involvement
due to RL before) is the last of my priorities. I'm sorry that you
have become one of the victims of this.
It is as of now unclear who will take over diplomacy, but I will not
be able to continue it. You can send messages to our email and they
will be noticed as our turnplayer Hercules is acting as a replacement
now, but I cannot speak for him to say how much involved he will be in
diplomacy.
I will just say that a majority in my team has decided not to agree
with a continuation of the NAP to turn 134, because you wanted to know
this now.
Other issues I leave to my successor, since I feel that under the
current circumstances I am no longer in a position to be making
promises, pledges or even agree to deals or anything.
I would have liked to end my role of Templar FAM and contact for your
team in a better fashion, but RL has totally taken me by surprise.
Hopefully at a later stage, I will have the opportunity to explain
more.
All the best.

I logged in to send the email in Zeviz's post, then read theirs, then sent this:
A quick email regarding to the tech deal we offered in-game, a more comprehensive reply to your email will follow:
