Uh...I definitely thing we should tell Banana that PAL is trying to get Imperio to agree to a joint attack against them.

I like MH's letter, I would send it right away. I also wouldn't bother sending any response to the Templars, there is just no point. They'll figure it out when Imperio declares on them.

It's not a joint attack, PAL and Imperio have a no-scouting agreement to their NAP and PAL were asking Imperio to pass through their waters to sail to China.

Ok, caught the guy online.
He was quick to respond.
Language barrier is obviously making things a bit weird.

You can see that they are actually concerned about being in the middle of the map (Sullla will love that bit) and about the number of our cities. Now this is outright stupid, but it will go on like this.

I tried my best, but he went on and on how he wants more cities. There was also a bit (that got lost at the end) where he said they have also the Statue of Zeus. Not sure what is so special about that. You have to inflict some damage on your neighbours to get WW going, right?

The thing about the claus with PAL is interesting, though. Why Imperio needed a NAP with PAL in the first place, I don't understand?

So to sum up, we have NO agreement with them at the moment and have to revise our eMail quickly to get anything done this turn.

My opinion is, that we keep Jerusalem, because it has two religions and fits nicely into the dotmap. Imperio is too blue-eyed thinking they can sit this one out.
I am also curious to see PAL's cannon going pufffff without iron.

We will have Imperios butt handed to them before they get all the way to Steel.

Right, I think I understand. He wants us to raze and re-settle Jerusalem because he doesn't want its culture to swamp constantinople and he doesn't want us to get the holy city for 2 religions.

His first point makes no sense unless we revolt to free religion. We could just promise not to do that. Razing a large city and replacing it makes absolutely no sense. And what are we going to do with that holy city? Like we have the time to spread missionaries everywhere or even have a shrine. I don't understand what he meant by his clause with PAL. The offer on the table is more than fair.

He not only wants us to re-settle but re-settle 2,1 (ie. S-SW) of Jerusalem to avoid culture clash. I think that tile is not even a land tile. He probably meant just SW of Jerusalem.

That is nonsense. I am also not sure why PAL would insist in razing Jerusalem. Then again that NAP is old, and has not taken into account that by now we have all the religions spread to us.
Weird.
