I like the thrust of the message, but I'm not sure about the taunting. Ultimately, we want them to decide not to attack us, and if they are wavering (as opposed to OOP) I think taunting might push them over the edge.
yeah - fair enough. Guess we save it for Op BB or the end of the game.

Please make a decision. Either (a) attack us or (b) sign a NAP and we can both back down.
We have equal technology. That means any war will be bloody and painful to both sides. Perhaps we will withstand your attack, or perhaps you will slowly defeat us at great cost to yourselves. Either way we will both fall further behind PAL. Please consider how much better things would be for both of us if we signed the NAP.
Isn't it interesting how they never mentioned their objection over Cape Town to us until they had a big stack of units on our doorstep? I mean, it's been patently obvious for months what Imperio was planning, and yet they never made even the slightest attempt to send us an email over this issue. Not that we would have listened to them anyway.
Fun responses to send back to Imperio:
- "We'll give you Cape Town in exchange for Lakamha and Chichen Itza."
- "If you want Cape Town, why don't you come and take it?"
- "I've never seen an army turn and run in the opposite direction so fast. Ole!"
- A giant laughing smiley face. Like this:
(Yes, I spent 5 minutes searching for that, and yes, it was worth it. )
Wait a minute; the've asked for a delay and now they've managed an all-time record of responding to an e-mail in less than a day!?!?
Imperio,
That is a bold assertion give that Cape Town is equally distant from our respective Capitals, and you can't really expect us to agree. Just because a war between our two nations will hand Pal the game, you don't think we're going to just hand it to you instead!?
The defender will have great advantage in any war (look how Rabbits are hanging on despite being an era behind Pal) and we believe that we can take anything you throw at us with no problem.
"You'll have to take it from our dead, lifeless, fingers"
Is that the correct Civ4 response?
We can also mention the strangeness of the map-maker who, with one hand, gives a team plenty of gold and with his other hand, puts a team's copper behind a fyord / mountain barrier.
