No worries Aqua, I'm glad you bring up the subject, rather than chew on it. Germany and the Hittities have been at war, which ultamately left SG to surrender to stay in the game. Later on he chose to quit the game and we have been proceeding as we have been doing lately. Anyway, in that war a catapult and a few workers were captured. The workers have been returned after the war. That catapult is now an artillery unit at the gates of Steve Irwin Memerial.

And btw I think I shot down your walls, but I missed out on the text of the first shot...

    • But McMeadows, in your last on slaught, did you take Steve Irwin Memorial or not?
(sorry but your war tally didn't mention if you achieved your target or not)

EDIT: after re-reading your post, I guess you did not.

      • Yes, you did get my Walls

I'm not sure how accurate your tally is, as I don't think the damage quite matches what I see. Anyway, it's close enough - you still did a lot of damage

Now, how about peace? You take your Cavalry, Infantry and Artillery back to the land of blue, and I won't hold a grudge

        Meanwhile......

9 ineffectual and obsolete Roman Cannons take 4 hitpoints from German Infantry.

Rome continues to defy the aggressor (who now has 15 Cavalry, 12 Infantry, 15 Artillery and a Knight Army outside our town, with a whole bunch more one tile away)

The German-Hittitie Commonwealth is still a supporter of word peace. However, the Commonwealth will not act as a feabile pacifist when provoked. Even if it takes a few centuries to retalliate.

Roman Cannons score 3 out of 9 hits.

You got a bit lucky on some of those Cavalry v Musketman attacks, but I'm sure the RNG will even it up next turn

....unless of course you agree to peace and allow my town to stand

Building a town in neutral territory equidistant from our respective capitals cannot reasonably be labeled provocation. But then, you don't agree I suppose, since you somehow felt it was your rightful territory.

The German Capital is not quite the centre of the German area. Furthermore, the annoyance with regard to the geographical position of Steve Irwin Memorial was caused by positioning it right on the German border, closer to the nearest German town than to the nearest Roman town. That is clear provoking. In fact, that was the second time that had happened.

                          • 3 hitpoints taken off German Infantry by 10 Roman Cannons - how pathetic

We are clearly losing this war of attrition As such, let the world know that Rome has been since the beginning of this war, and remains, very willing to discuss peace terms

By the way McMeadows, do my Cannons take any hitpoints off your Cavalry when you attack?

They sure do hit and cause me doing some extra praying during combat.

The terms for peace have by long been dropped at your office and did not seem to be open for discussion. Willing maybe, but not "very"... So we continue.
