  • As I said, there's only one thing Rome will not give up and that is the town you are attacking. Everything else is negotiable, and therefore with compromise on both sides there is every possiblity of working towards peace. If on the other hand you will not compromise, then you clearly do not wish for a meaningful peace.

Not at all - no demands from me. I'm just saying that if you are interested in peace (as you say) I'm willing to discuss various options. You seem to be saying there is only one option, correct?

              • A very strange war indeed

Something tells me our German friend has a hidden agenda

12 Roman Cannons take 5 hitpoints from German Infantry.

And what do you mean, Aquarius is gaining more power in SIM? You have been gaining the power in the histograph

Then stop shelling my territory, you vandal! Remember Fuhrer, the world is watching while your Artillery blasts Roman citizens into dust and your Cavalry and Infantry stand idle, gloating over their seige. Attack my Walls if you must, but every inch of my land you litter with your shrapnel will only increase Rome's thirst for revenge!

Vast number of Roman troops indeed! You have 19 Cavalry, 11 Infantry, a Knight Army and 20 Artillery waiting on my doorstep. I doubt they are demotivated, my evil wamongering friend

3 hits from 12 Cannon shots.

total body count of this massacre:
                              Aquarius: 13 musketmen, 5 AC, 1 MI, 1 knight
                              McM: 6 cavalry, 4 infantry

The German-Hittittie forces clashed into a massive battle against the Roman defenders. Some terrible losses were made on both sides. It was wondered why the pikemen had not yet been upgraded. The results in battle supplied the answer. What a killer units they were... At that point the battle became emotional and not untill there was trully not a single unit to attack anymore the German army general came to his senses.

                              EDIT: battle report..

                                This was inevitable

Let me supply you with some facts: In 6 turns of battle, the Germans have lost 16 units (huge numbers of Cavalry have retreated, healed and returned to battle), whilst Rome has lost 48 units (31 of which were brave Musketmen). On top of that there has been a lethal and genocidal "softening up" campaign waged by German Artillery each turn causing massive hitpoint damage (probably around 100 in total) prior to the Cavalry and Infantry attacks. Rome has built Walls around the town twice, and twice they have been demolished by the German Artillery.

Yet the Germans are no closer to their goal, and the Roman high command has managed to further strengthen the defences of the town.

Now doesn't this tell you something?

Despite the vindictive nature of the German attack, Rome remains willing to accept an admission of defeat from Germany.

Meanwhile out on the field, 5 hitpoints of damage from the trusty 12 Roman Cannons
