Cold War PBEM - tracker thread

This is a bit awkward. We are stalled anyway now due to the the absence of Mickeyj, so we might as well wait for you (assuming things will be back to "normal" next week). And my first choice is to wait after all (and sorry for the deep freeze period, and sorry to have botherered people for a replacement...)

But, we have one player wanting to join, albeit it was as a replacement. However, the game is pretty young, so... If ricketyclick wants to join as a new player (which minor nation?) and others agree, I suppose we could do a restart once Moonbars and Mickeyj are back. Am I making sense here?

Guys, I should be back in action next week - assuming when the phone co engineer arrives, he is able to install my phone in one visit, which he damn well better, and that my 56k modem still works.

I tried to play the save on my parents PC, but it just doesn't load the save, it's a pretty old PC. I hence took the save home and played it there, but I would have to get it back to somewhere with a USB port and an internet connection that take webmail, and that's a problem. Can't do it at work - no usb.

I would understand if u want to restart and replace me, or restart and include paddy and Ric, or whatever. sorry for all the delays.. it's as frustrating from me as it is for you guys.

Oh, I must point out that Mickeyj (India) is out for another week or so. I'm in several other PBEMs that are on hold until he's back.

Well, we also have three spots for low-end countries, if you both want in... That would be Persia/Pakistan, the Arab League, and Scandinavia. Let me know what you decide, and I will start the game.

Of course, if Mickeyj is indeed gone for a while, the game will have to wait anyway. Heck, we might even have Moonbars back in two weeks, and not need a replacement after all. This is confusing.

he is a lot more reliable anyway, being somewhat older

just get the saves to him early in the day, as sleep takes him faster in his twilight days

I think we are restarting without Moonbars. I asked him about a replacement and he said it was ok with him. I will post a note in the administrative thread now.
