Mark, what difficulty level you were you playing on?

I've found it almost impossible on warlord to wage a sucessful military campaign!

actually, i'm on warlord too. my typical "expand-expand-expand, war-war-war" strategy seems to work (more or less), although my success is slower than what i would do on civ2 deity!

Your reviews, with the screenshots and explanations are like manna in the wilderness for us poor benighted Europeans trying to hang in there till next Friday! It's really great to get some sort of feel of what it's like to play the game, even if only at second hand.

When can we expect "Day 3"??!

i had this plan to post "day 3" early in the morning and "day 4" in the evening, but i spent 7 hours playing a certain game

I'm able to get into town at 11am Friday!!! I thought I was going to have to wait a few days!! I'm just really happy, it's only 6 more days! Even the thought of Monday morning doesn't seem so bad it's one day closer to civ3.

And to wrench this on-topic when's day 3??

EDIT: I just noticed I'd posted after mark (had Post reply screen up for a while)and he answered my question but if I take it off then there's nothing to wrench it back on topic with so I'm in a connnunderunnunnimm. I'll just go get some sleep now

Not trying to be picky here Mark, but isn't the movement information given in the last fraction fraction numbers on each line. For example, the hilighted archer unit has 0/1 at the end of the line. This means the unit can move 1 square per turn but has 0 moves left.

if you had read "Day 3" you would have seen that i have posted a correction
