- Change what you are researching at any time
- Set multiple goals for your research(with an exact order)

Small trick. Does your opponent have colonies on some good resources? Build a city next to them and he's gone :)

Agreeing to an alliance means instant war. No wait to actually attack the common enemy....

Clicking on your unhappy citizens gives you the reasons of their unhappiness. The numbers are the average of all of them together(e.g. you dont get to see what each specific citizen is unhappy about)

It's not shown there, but i had peace, passage and protection pact with the Egyptians as well.
In the end the Egyptians attacked me and therefore the French declared war on them...

With the ability to negotiate votes with the other civs, diplomatic victory is "half" of what it was in SMAC

Good allies are hard to find. A city of mine(yes, it's named Microprose.com. So what? :)) defected to them but they returned it back!
Tip for not having your cities defect: keep them happy, have more entertainers than what it needs to not be in disorder
