I believe it was a random generated map. I would have to check some old threads to be sure. Unlike the PTWDGII game that was doctered.

Yes it was randomly generated. At the start of the game, all teams had certain amount of turns in order to call for a restart if anyone ended up in absolute ****ty locations.

Of course, no one called for a restart - though there were a few threats of doing so. For example GoW trying to have us all believe that they got stuck on a one-tile island.

After some problems getting the save I got the file this morning. I played the turn before I went to work. Short report:

        50 AD turn played.

Three cities founded, other settlers in position to found cities next turn. Barbarian horseman spotted in the SW.

ND has taken the RP city of Zaragosa.

I will post more tonight when I get home from work.

              50 AD Full Turn Report

No trade deals. GoW still owes us money.

On more turn of anarchy. Treasury at 258 gold. Printing Press in 35 turns.

The cities of Irony, Memory, and Resurrection were settled. All three cities were set to build a harbor. Irony laborer was put on forest tile. Memory labrorer on gold hill. Resurrection has scientist to continue our research.

The New Voice was changed to work both the grassland tiles and its production was changed to Marketplace.

Workers on mountain E of The New Voice moved south to hill. Three workers completed mine on grassland W of The New Voice. Three others were available, one moved to other grassland tile to help forest (they should complete it next turn) while the other two moved to the hill to road it next turn.

A barbarian horseman is spotted in the SW. Immortals are moving in that direction. As long as he can not get into position to cause trouble (I don't think he can) I will wait to take him out with a veteran just in case we can get a promotion out of it.

The galley that dropped of the settler at Memory is moving up the east coast to explore. The other galley with a settler is south of Memory and will head for Panama Vox. The two empty gallies are continuing their journey over Bob. The western most galley just passed the west tip of Bob and will start heading SW toward the GoW island. The other one is in the middle of the top of Bob. Its too bad we don't have astronomy. Those galleys could start exploring the sea as they don't have much else to do.

One of the Lego units is already on a gallye in the NE. The swordsmen should embark during the Lego turn. The other Lego unit is in the SW next to the barbarian.

Harry - looks great. I agree about trying to use a vet to take out the barb.

Question - should Memory maybe build a library first? It will produce culture which will eventually allow us to use the whale tile.

I was thinking the same thing about Memory. We have time to discuss. I wanted to wait and see what our gpt situation looks like in Republic, and when we get our gold from GoW, to see if can can afford to rush an improvement there. There are no forests to help Memory along and we don't have extra units to disband.

Yes - makes sense. Would you like me to nudge GoW. I am pretty close to MZ and H_E, but have not been in touch with them lately.

                      70 AD turn played

Anarchy ends. We are a republic (pic)

Both sliders at 0. -15 gpt.

No trade deals nor did I receive any requests from GoW for investigations.

The Lego MedInf has taken out the barbarian. The Lego swordsmen in the NE loaded on the galley and the galley is on its way back to Legoland.

City of Samaria… oops… Sea Biscuit founded. Laborer on horse hill. Set to build harbor. City of Renewal founded. Laborer on unimproved grassland. Set to build harbor. City of Phoenix founded. Laborer on forest. Set to build library. City of Hope founded. Laborer on fish. Set to build granary. See the rebuilding thread for some discussion about city builds. See the this post post in the Rebuilding thread for an outlook and discussion about the cities.

Galley in NE continues to explore the coast. There is a bunch of sea tiles up there. I wonder if it leads to more land? Galley with settler moving through the straight by Sea Biscuit heading for Panama Vox city site. Galleys by Bob continue moving west.

The two veteran immortals are moving to the SW just in case there are more barbarians down there. The elite Immortal is moving towards The New Voice just to keep him centrally located.

Workers SE of The New Voice built road on hill. Will mine next. Workers N built road on hill. One worker from improved grassland moved NE to complete forest. Other two moved NE to start chopping forest.

Now that we are out of anarchy The New Voice has accumulated its first culture point. Printing Press in 34 turns. We end the turn with 258 gold in the treasury and +1 gpt. Phoenix is losing one shield to waste. Cities of Hope, Memory, and Sea Biscuit are losing one commerce to corruption. Domestic Advisor pic

                      Pic of Voxtavia

GS and RP have an ROP. GS and RP are at war with GoW and ND. All others are at peace. GS has active trades with RP and Lego. My guess is these are luxury deals but they could include gpt as well. Foreign Advisor Pic

GS has completed The Great Wall in Tempest. This will make it tougher for GoW and ND to crack their cities once GS gets walls in them. Lego has started the Sistine Chapel in Legopolis. A couple of turns ago GoW switched their long time wonder build in Imperial City to Sistine Chapel. I doubt Lego will get it unless they have some deal witih GoW and GoW will switch to another wonder.

Our score histograph (pic) looks like a river that ran into a dam.

Here are a bunch of shots of Bob. You can see that GoW and ND have settled most of the continent. RP has only a couple of cities and a few small towns left.

                        Great review Harry!

There is one thing though, If I should be so bold...

Sea Biscuit should be spelled "Seabiscuit" ... since I'm assuming it's named after the horse.

That's it...Harry's fired and Wittlich takes over.
I don't have time to review the turn in depth right now, but it looks good from a cursory glance.

I can continue to play the turns for about two more weeks. On Saturday the 23rd I head to Florida for a week long software conference. Sorry, can't get out of it. I will be presenting a paper. After that I will be gone every weekend through October, and maybe some weekends in November too, for dog activities and the possiblity of a vacation in early October. I will check in during the week between dog activities. I don't know if I will have internet access in Florida. I will have my laptop with me and should have my wireless network working by then. The resort the conference is at is pretty high priced for my tastes. If internet access is not free with the room my guess is it will cost too much to make it worth while.

We should make plans for someone else to start playing the turns starting the 22nd/23rd.
