Per orders. ND sent the payment. I informed Lego of the GoW pickets on our east coast.

We nominally will have enough gold to rush another aqueduct. However I want to keep a minimum of 60 gold at all times as a "safe zone". It currently costs 56 gold to establish an embassy with Lego. We can't initiate a Right of Passage agreement without an embassy and without a ROP then Lego wouldn't be able to use our rails and roads to defends us. If we are the ones to initiate the ROP then Lego can accept and have forces in our territory the very same turn we are attacked (if it happens). Otherwise if they initiated it then we would not be able to accept it until the next turn.

        • why don't we do the embassy now than?

Per orders. ND sent their 50 gold. Roleplay sent 300 gold -unaccepted to which I attached nationalism only and sent it -accepted. I will respond with a PM to Togas about that.

              - Hope builds catapult. Start worker
              - Worker stack of VW#3,4&7 moves 2-4-1 and rails plains
              - Worker stack of VW#9-11 moves 9 and rails hill
              - V.C.S. Discovery moves 4-4 and fortifies
              - Possibly rush the aqueduct in Phoenix as long as we maintain 60 gold in the bank.
              - New Voice's WF from the southern railed hill to the unrailed hill
              - Seabiscuit's WF from the unrailed hill to the railed hill
              - Hope's WF to fish, irrigated grass, mined grass and railed hill (should show 5 food per turn)
              - Send WM-accepted to Roleplay (only if approved by both Lego and us beforehand)

Jon the reason I didn't want to do the embassy now is that it reveals more of Lego's map which is something they don't want to do. When it becomes necessary to do so then we'll do it, but until then I don't want to do the embassy.

Per orders. ND sent the 50 gold and Roleplay accepted the nationalism deal. That threw me because I completely forgot about the gold and was wondering for a bit how we suddenly had 600+ gold in the bank. So I ended up rushing the aqueducts in both Phoenix and Renewal. We'll soon have three cities producing units, with New Voice finishing it's aqueduct in 2 more turns, and Memory in 5 more.

Now - we need names for our "fear god and dreadnought"s.

Rhoth - sorry I have been absent from the thread for a few days. Looks great, btw!

Who would have thought we could wrestle this much productivity out of so small an island. Our approach here is helping me in a pbem I am in.

                      Ok - names .....

                      How about VCS Invicta??

...as an honour to that ancient civilization.

I was also thinking we could change teh name of Seabiscuit (which is getting old now) to Lux Invicta, and do the historical apology and ceremony thing in the public forum. Jon Miller would lay a wreath at the tomb of the unknown Invictae (although we are pretty sure it is BigFurryMonster).
Cry havoc and let slip the dogs of war .... aw, forget that nonsense. Beer, please.

                      • That's fine with me. If you want to write it up please go ahead. You know more about that ancient civilization than I do.

                          • The only issue with ironclads is that they do not upgrade. So we may want to be wary of how many we build.

                            Here are my suggested names:

                            VCS Immortal
VCS Fearless (with the Caravel renamed Destiny)
VCS Intrepid (with the Caravel renamed Exodus)
                            VCS Mars
                            VCS Indefatigable
                            VCS Victory
                            VCS Arisen
                            VCS Avenger

When we get to destroyers, and keeping with the American naming convention (Battleships -states; Cruisers - cities; Destroyers - people), may I suggest:

                            VCS Eli
                            VCS Dissident
                            VCS HarryH
                            VCS Jon Miller
                            VCS Wittlich
                            VCS Rhothaerill
                            VCS Beta

And I will start on the Public Apology piece and re-naming of Seabiscuit.

                            • I think that ships should keep there names

I mean, we would not rename the consitution, would we?

we can build a new one to replace a lost one though

Per orders. ND sent the 50 gold. Now we'll have to decide whether it would be better to rush markets or save our gold for upgrading units.

Oh, and I told Lego about the GS vessel off Memory's coast.
