    Dear Señor Torquemada,

Yes I recognise the rightness of your interpretation.

I do not take lightly the responsibility of Head of the Inquisition toward the Church and the Kingdom, and I would never consent to fabricate facts in order to meet objectives contrary to the justice as it is reflected by current laws.
And I do not take lightly the task to restore justice where it was violated, to punish those who offend the Ten Commandments of the almighty God.
"Thou shalt not murder." is one of them.

You offer a deshonorable choice, probably knowing that I value my honor much more than my life. I choose the death, asking my King and my family to forgive me.
I offer you the choice to join with me in my task to punish those who violate the Ten Commandments, the word and will of the almighty God.
You can join or not, but don't expect any mercy from the almighty God or the Lord Jesus Christ for not fulfilling your task when it was so easy to join.

I ask you, Señor Torquemada to not prefer death above justice, above the word and will of the allmighty God. You have shown yourself a valuable man, a good Head of the Inquisition. It would be painful to me and all of us, Spaniards, christians, to loose you.

I wish you all wisdom of the world.

    Sincerely,

    Pope Aidun I

      Your Sanctity,

Your conquest of the island will not change the fact that at the time of the murder the island was neither in Spain nor in the lands of the Church. This conquest is useless regarding the law and this particular case; and if it could deceive some people, it will not deceive God. Deception cannot please God. Lord Jesus did not want to interfere in secular matters (give back to Caesar what belongs to Caesar) and would not have approved that the laws of the Kingdom be twisted in his name.

I place justice above my life, and I implore you not to mess religious concerns with secular justice.

        Señor Torquemada,

Murder is murder, is not just and offends the word and will of the almighty God. Please, Señor Torquemada, you have been such a good Head of the Inquisition, please do as I ask you.

*Torquemada drinks the cup of poison, then, to be sure, cuts the veins of his wrist, reads the last letter of the Pope, shakes his head and writes*

You need no laws, no Tribunal, no judges. You will render the justice with the Bible, and bring a revolution in the Kingdom. I pray to God that He sends back some wisdom in the Chur.......

          *Torquemada expires ...*

Aidun I was sitting in his study, reading the last letter of Señor Torquemada again and again. He stood up and walked to the cross on the wall, kneeled and prayed.

Please Father, give him the wisdom so that he will see that murdering your children is injust, whether those children have lost the straight road, like sheeps stray from the flock. Please open his eyes. And if he decides to commit suicide, Father, have mercy upon his sole.

Aidun I crossed himself and stood up. Just when he wanted to turn to his desk again the door folded open. The young clerk of the Inquisition ran into his study. He looked as if upset by something. "Father, your Holiness," he gasped "Señor Torquemada, the Head of the Inquisition is dead!" With a shaking hand he handed a small, bloodly letter to the Pope.

You need no laws, no Tribunal, no judges. You will render the justice with the Bible, and bring a revolution in the Kingdom. I pray to God that He sends back some wisdom in the Chur.......
The Pope read the bloody letter and looked up in the face of the clerk. "I found it under his right hand," the clerk said in despair, "he had cut open the veins of his wrists. He must have been lying there for several hours already." A tear trickled down his cheeks and he burst out in tears.
The Pope laid his arm around the clerk's shoulder and took him to a chair.
"We will miss a valuable man, with whom I did not agree, but who I respected and who will be respected and remembered, by you, by me and all of us. Let us pray fir his sole."
They prayed for Torquemada's sole and the clerc left the study. The Pope closed the door and fell on his knees in the middle of the room. "Father," he cried in despair, "Father! Why?!"

A messenger from the Royal Guard arrives before his holiness, Aidun I, and addresses the Pope,

His Highness, King Justino Togas, has asked that I deliver this message.

He is greaved by the loss of the Cheif Inquisitor. A man who's family has been fiercely loyal to the nation of Spain and to the crown. He requests that the lands of the late Inquisitor remain in the family, and hopes that the prayers of the church will help ease this man's journey through Purgatory.

Of equal importance to the King is the matter of the trial. He wishes to know if the Church will continue the trial or if the decision of the deceased Cheif Inquisitor will be honored. Either way, the King wishes to hear the appeal, should there be a conviction.

Dead? Oh dear. What a shame about the old darling.

As it is, despite the unfortunate death of the Inquisitor, at least the Pope is seeing that justice will be done. God be praised.

The Pope is a wise and upright judge! A Daniel come to judgement!

What is really a shame is that the prescution never proved the murder took place on the island, however, it did suggest that it took place at a point somewhere between Spain and this island, in the sea. The murder could've very well taken place inside of Senor de la Civ's own boat, which by Spains own law, is a part of Spain herself since Senor de la Civ was acting within the juridiction of the church and of the King of Spain.

                    Senor Prosecutor

I would like to recall this :

In what condition was the body in; Did it appear to have been in the water for some time?

Well, Senor GodKing had been sent to the island three weeks before. He should have arrived in a week. Senor GodKing's body was drenched. He appeared to have been floating about for some great time indeed. The numbers on his tunic were barely legible, it was because of the head (and a rather embarrasing birth-mark) that a positive identification was made. Thus, I suspect that the killing must have occured within a day, if not less, of his arrival on the island. More likely, on the same day.
This clearly states that the death occured on the island; within a day of his arrival means after arrival, otherwise the omniscient witness Calamari would have said : within a day before arrival.

You will notice also that the number was not written on the body but on the tunic, which reduces this evidence to almost nil since no expertise was made of the tunic.

Also, about the famous birth-mark, supposed to be embarrassing, as if Godking could have been embarrassed by anything like that, we have not yet been told how the Cardinal Calamari was ever made aware of it.

That has just not yet been approved by a judge...

you can claim it, and have evidence for it, but it is not yet approved.

I will think of what to do with this case. I will talk to all people that were involved with it and I want to hear their opinions. It is not voting whether it will continue or not, I want to hear wise words. The death of Señor Torquemada was without need and is a deed of despair. That is what strikes me. Please, PM me what you think that should be done.

I ask this to his Majesty King Justino Togas I too.

God bless you all. May his wisdom guide you on your path.

That was but one persons testimony, in which they could have made such statements in error. In fact, they did. We know, form the tesitomony of the Royal Senschel Thud, that the number's are tattatoed on the body of the prisoner. Of course thay are put onto the prisoner's tunic as well.

As far as claiming to where the body was when it was beheaded; it was only suppostion by the witness, not fact.

Who takes the place of the late, lamented Senor Torquemada?

                          Senor Quesecome,

Who exactly are you? What are your references?

As it is, I never said that the murder occured on the island or otherwise. You are simply vainly twisting my words around for some unknown cause... Perhaps you are trying to hide something?!

Also, I did mention the tattoo on his tunic, but there was also such a one on his person that I neglected to mention because it slipped my mind.

As I stated earlier in my evidence, which you seem not to have bothered to pay heed to, during an escape attempt, Senor GodKing's trousers were caught on a nail. The birthmark was seen by many individuals after that, and is identical to the one on the body.

There is no doubt that the body is that of Senor GodKing.

There is no doubt that this was a murder.

I have a confession to make. I have greatly sinned.

                            *shocked silence throughout the room*

I have lied. I beg forgiveness from God and Spain for this crime. I will accept whatever punishment comes with it. In the boat, on the way to the island, I cut off the head of GodKing.

                            *More shocked silence*

However, I did NOT commit murder. Murder, as I understand, is unlawful killing. Killing GodKing was not unlawful. The Bible itself says, "Thou shalt not suffer a witch to live." GodKing was a witch (or a warlock if you prefer that term, though I suspect that the sensual pleasures the Devil gives his servants in exchange for their aid may blur the distinction between the sexes), and thus it would be unlawful to not kill him. I do not see how there can be any doubt that he is a witch. He clearly used Satan-given powers to murder my brother and attempted to do the same to me. If this does not make him a witch, then no one is a witch.

The Head of the Inquisition is dead and I don't know someone who could be Head of inquisition instead of him. The other two judges of the tribunal have not shown themselves during the trial.

This is why I have decided to be judge in this trial myself. I have not yet received messages from the persons that are involved in this trial, whatever role they have: judge, prosecutor, accused suspect, witness. I see but that some of both parties want to continue, so, unless you think it should not continue, it will continue.

I don't think any more evidence for the murder is needed, nor for the perjure.

Señor de la Civ. You know very well that what you did are heavy sins. Perjure is a heavy sin, murder too, which one is heavier I don't know, both are very bad.

I want to ask you some questions.

Señor de la Civ. please be honest. Do not swear an oath, just promise that you won't lie.

Señor de la Civ, in the trail against Godking the Inquisition judged that he was guilty and the punishment of exile was inflicted upon him. Why did you not respect this decision of the Inquisition?

Señor de la Civ, why did you cut GodKings head off? Why not a hand as you said in an earlier testification? Why haven't you kicked him to unconciousness?

Why, Señor de la Civ, did you lie although you knew you were violating an oath to God?

Why, Señor de la Civ, have you confessed now and not in an earlier stage? Has it to do with the death of Señor Torquemada?

And finally, what punishment do you think that fits to the crimes committed by you?
