  • My only concern is that GS will not stand for a total destruction of RP.

Not that they will stop it at that point, but a conflict with them FIRST would delay the legoland invasion FAR too long to be effective.

        • I want to get all organized before the war on RP.

First, we will not be breaking the lux trade with RP, thank goodness. The 20 turns is over.

The MPP, are we going to ask ND to wait one turn, are we BOTH waiting one turn?

If BigFree's statement of 8 turns (150BC) was correct, ND attacking on 10AD is one turn after that, therefore the MPP (IT WAS NEVER A NAP YOU FRIGGIN IDIOTS IN RP!!! AND THEY HAVE A LAWYER?) would have expired.

If we get ND to delay, it was over, fine. If they will not, I can claim that our team had it stated as starting one turn earlier in the game than RP did for some reason and it was all a misunderstanding.

WHEN do I tell GS we are going to attack? How should I put it?

I can see two real ways to do this.

          1. The Mercenary: We are being hired to get involved in a war on bob, can't tell you details, will see soon enough.

          2. The Practical: We have decided on getting involved after a discussion with another team where we were told 'us or them'. An agreeable arrangement has been made for splitting Bob at the end. We believe that this will be upheld due to the threat that Lego poses to the game.

I propose only telling them the same turn we declare war, and along the #2 response.

          • I was under the impression that we were not going to delay, but ask ND to. It depends on if we go for the whole force attacking Toledo, or if we go for the ofshoot on Bilbao. The we would attack Bilbao in 30bc, and toledo in 10bc. If we attack only toledo our attack will be in 10bc, but don't construe that with delaying the attack.

            • I was thinking on that...why not send the 3 MI and 1 pike to Bilbao? This does not tie up Riders on the galleys, but still threatens that city...

I also wouldn't mind seeing 4 pikes head down on the galleys, intended to fortify once we capture...

It doesn't matter when WE attack, really, it's when ND does anyway.

IT WAS NOT AN NAP. I look forward to reminding them of that fact in the public forum, actually

              • If you look at the position of Ist MI, it will be at least 30-50 AD before he will be able to get to Bilbao on galley. If we do send pikes, we will need to change production of some cities from riders to pikes to make sure our homeland is defended.

                • Dear UnOrthOdOx,

I'm not sure whether Shiber approved your Trappings installment, but it's okay- our map will be known throughout the world soon anyway. I'm sad to see you leave so soon- but such is the fate of the envoy, to be the governments' vagabond

Other than that, there are those (rather large ) leftovers from the chat. Rest assured, they are being discussed by the team, but these issues take time- as I'm sure your decision to bring up those suggestions in the chat wasn't made in one day.

Like yours, right now we are concerned of the developments on Bob, as well as how the post-war Bob shapes up. As I said, the GS realizes the potential Lego has if left alone, but the situation on Bob as it is leaves you little options right now, besides preparing yourself so you won't "be caught with your pants down" like you said. I believe common interests, coupled with trust, would ensure our teams' cooperation, but much still needs to be discussed.

Therefor, I would like to have another chat scheduled, in some time that would be comfortable for our both teams' members- like the one before the last one. Since the last chat was held on rather uncomfortable time for you, as well as for most of my team members, perhaps the next could be arranged around 0300 GMT?

                  Cordially,
                  Zeit.
                  0300 GMT good for everyone?

Monday (sunday night), I have SPDG stuff going on...Saturday and Teusday are possible for me.

                  zeit,

Thank you for getting back to me. I have been anxiously awaiting word on Trappings due to the fact that I have been in a writting mood and have several more ready to go. As for being a short stay, it was actually quite long as far as Trappings is concerned. The longest to date, anyway.

As you say, I feel both our teams are really working towards the same end, and that will keep us cooperating. At least until Lego is no longer an issue, that is . We both would like to win after that, and such things would be expected.

The 10:00 time was perfectly fine with me personally, and HE...just no with the rest of the team too much. 03:00 is certainly doable as well. Given that I am now President over in the SPDG, I must coordinate with that as well. I have a meeting scheduled for Monday at 03:00 (pending a vote) so the best times for me would seem to be Saturday 0300 or Teusday 0300. Sunday 03:00 would be possible, but I am setting aside that evening for my family, I am sure you all understand.

I look forward to seeing you in chat, and to working together for some time to come.

                  • It may be the fact that I currently have a 102 temperature, or that I am highly medicated right now.

Could be because 4 pieces of toast amount to my total nutritional intake over the last three days.

Could be that a recent lack of sleep due to a son teething has finally robbed me of all senses.

                    Who knows?

But, I think our best course of action may be to tell GS.

                    Why?

I see a likely question comming from them will be our lack of selling Chiv to RP. Oh sure, we can say they haven't met our offers. However, RP is in touch with GS, and have likely already discussed obtaining it from them. I would bet they have even discussed what they have offered us.

Also, such behavior is not our MO. We whore like no others. Dirt cheap technologies, that is what we are known for.

We could tell them we are being PAID not to sell it. This is just the same as telling them there is a plan for war against RP, so why not tell them?

Given my state of mind, I am just throwing this our here, not really advocating it at this point.

How would we pull this off?

First gain a statement of secrecy. If GS agrees not to share anything in the chat, we can trust that, I believe.

Second, tell them we are ensured that there will be conflict within 10 turns on Bob, and have taken what steps we can to ensure that we are not the recipients.

Third, tell them we have taken steps to ensure all our contracts will be fulfilled.

Fouth, refuse to say who ("we can't say"). Let them assume, though it should be obvious.

                      • I had sort of been thinking that myself, Unortho.

Let me say now that I support this idea if others do. GS has it 'honour code' that we find annoying, but it might just work for us if we do this. Maybe we can convince GS to support us in any kind of way... it would be better than total neutrality or opposition.

Also, if we tell them the truth, we can gain some 'honour' points, that might go towards an eventual Legoland campaign.

                        • If we let GS in on the plan to attack RP we should insinuate that we are doing so based on their suggestions that we do it.

Get as much mileage out or the possibility that we listen and follow their advice so they fill we are in their pocket and more of a faithful lapdog towards them than a potential attacker.

                          • GF,

They have always worded it VERY carefully to be sure not to make it sound as an 'official' suggestion. Im not too sure that will work.

We have a mutual interest in Lego. They claim we are the only ones they have even discussed this with...I think that is pretty solid if it is true, and we have no reason to think they are lying...unless you want to say otherwise

I can ask for Tomorrow night, but I won't make it. Friday is the earliest I can make one personally.

Besides, we handle things pretty much the same, you can chat without me, no problem.

                              • Perhaps we could even offer an alliance with GS to attack RP.

                                They have a huge army.
                                Who wouldn’t want to join a 3 vs 1 war ?
They can use their galleys to land well below enemy lines, and would be facing less resistance.
They might get a great leader.
They get to remove one of the leading teams
                                They get a little pay-back.
They get to have some fun .. (war is far more exciting)

The only request, would be that they do not keep any city, and must remove their presence from Bob immediately after the war.

In return, they get our full co-operation with the invasion of Lego. (We can be mercenaries again).

                                -

Actually, just having their galleys come over and sail in bulk around the bottom of Bob will make RP freak. They will have to cover that front as well.
Perhaps we can request that, if they don’t want to actually commit troops
