Okay, I know you are right, but we're asking for a favour here. They already have us outmaneuvered, and have to be willing to give that advantage up. Like I said: if I was in that position, I would simply laugh you away if you ask me to move 2 warriors through. No matter how you take it, it is a show of good will from them, so I wouldn't push our luck. We can be diplomatically convincing, but once we start bluffing too much, they will see through it, and simply refuse. After all, the moment they encountered us, those 2 scouts were probably lost to them: they won't care if we destroy them, certainly not if it means we either get into a despotic GA, or lose some more troops.
It is us who really need to get accross, in order to contact the 3rd civ, they have to be willing to give up that advantage.
