I was away this weekend and after reading the results of the vote this morning I specifically resisted the urge to "make my vote count". Doesn't holding out in order to see everyone else's votes sort of make the whole process undemocratic?

How so? You're gonna vote for the civ you want to play, so waiting just increases the dramatic impact of your vote.
DeepO, keep in mind that some of the Egypt supporters also voted for the Iroquois (me, for instance), so that goes both ways. I wouldn't mind being the Iro's, I'd just rather be Egyptian.
Arrian, I'm not really bothered by it either way (like you, I believe both Egyptians and Iroquois to be fine choices), but by voting last your vote does "count more" than the earlier votes (especially with such a small population). If I were the last to vote with Egypt and Iroquois neck in neck, then it would be my vote that decided it, ultimately. Based on less information, I can't be help responsible for more than my share of the vote.

Since the private forums, all teams probably reevaluated their choices.
We could end with 5 teams going for Egypt
Is God willing to prevent evil, but not able? Then he is not omnipotent. Is he able, but not willing? Then he is malevolent. Is he both able and willing? Then whence cometh evil? Is he neither able nor willing?
