I think either Washington, Roosevelt or Lincoln. Basically because these r the best known outside of the U.S and probably Canada.
I'm not going to argue about 'best' presidents as im really not very good on U.S history. (although i do know that Washington lost a lot of battles to the brits in the WOI)
