I thought the Brits were numero uno?
Anyway, I should do a small pre-emptive warning: I'll be away from civ for one week, from June 26th and I'll be back on the third of July.
If anyone is willing to baby-sit the USA during that time, please PM me.
I hope I can play my first turn before that.Yeah, Moe, that team sure did suck last night. They just plain sucked! I've seen teams suck before, but they were the suckiest bunch of sucks that ever sucked.

Hi there,
*bumping in*
Playing order is
Russia
Japan
France
Germany
US
Independents
UK
I play the playtest on CFC, as the US. If need be, I could sub for the US here for a turn or two. But with six players, is may NOT need be necessary.
Have fun, Germanos

Germany
Germany sends traders all over the world in a bid for ultimate trade supremacy. Otto Von Bismark delcared today that Germany will focus its resources on trade to improve the pathetic economy that she currently has. Germany will not tolerate any attack upon these merchant ships and the same goes for any blockades. i.e English Channel.Last edited by Smaug; June 17, 2002, 04:35.

News of the World, December 1869
The president is dead, long live the president
President Cleveland was found dead earlier today at his cabin in Missouri. He had been shot several times and a note was found saying:
I shot myself

President Pavlov promises lots of good stuff, uh, I guess
There were many interesting ideas in the presidents first speech. Maybe. No spectator in Washington was reported to have heard what the president really said because he mumbled all the time. "Well, I couldn't hear a darn thing but it sure sounded good" commented local man Philip Hillbilly.
Note from the White House. To: All civilized nations.
The USA have sent out a large number of ships carrying goods for European and Japanese ports. We assume that their neutrality is respected and that no state tries to in any way halt, sink, toll or stop any trade ship carrying the American flag. Any attempt of that kind will be looked upon as a LARGE insult against the American government and might lead to things I don't think anyone wants to see.
Note from the White House. To: Czar Soundwave of Russia
Hello there old chum!
How about a small trade? I'll send you two barrels of American whisky and you'll send over two barrels of that sweet, sweet vodka. What do you say? Two barrels should last for an evening at least, eh?
