I have seen no attractive plans for attempting to save Kazan.......alas if our state of affairs demands it we must withdraw to Naples and let the residents of Kazan fend for themselves.

Perhaps some sort of poll? The question is who, the MInister of War, or Trade Minister? Or let this problem be solved by the next administration?

i have received no reports from the current cabinet so it would seem that we are going to wait until the next administration comes in before playing another turn.

This way I can point to ixnay and blame him for losing a city to the mongols and another to the celts

You have until Friday night to play another session.

And don't you mean Ixnay (as President) to lose a city, not me?

The calvary are on defensive terrain. Striking with the riflemen threatens our defense in Naples, and our hold on that entire continent.

I think we should let the Mongols come to us in Naples, with a city wall and fortified veteran riflemen. It's best if we get the choice of battleground, which we can only exploit through retreat.

I'm still only cityplanner though. It's up to the military advisor, SMC, to decide on a specific plan for dealing with the mongols.

I already agreed with raising taxes, and I think it will be cheaper to build military units instead of our caravans. However, we have some cities that will greatly profit from trading unexhausted goods.

I suppose that if they weren't on defensive terrain (move>1), they would have landed and attacked the same turn. Oh well.
