(Normally) you would need to upload the files in the upload service, and then use the IMG tag (right below the SIZE dropdown) to insert the url for the image(s) in the text.

All this may be moot, of course, if Apolyton's sickness is messing with the upload service.

Totally appropriate for the Americans to go back to Demo... actually, I admire the AI for doing that. We were killing them with bribes.

The Germans have Mikes chapel in a Fundamentalist government.

It's going to be a slugfest to the bitter end, now that they have Conscription.

I love the actions against the Americans. Not many cities left now!

Once we finish them off, we can continue working on the Greeks, and then onto the Zulus and Germans.

Yes, they may be strong now, but just wait until they actually have to meet our army in battle.

Considering two factors with the Americans, I wonder how long they will be in Democracy?

        - Cavebear mentioned a number of cities Revolting, allowing him to bribe them cheaper, and this was in Republic, I wonder if they will successfully be able to maintain a Democracy?

        - President Cavebear also mentioned that the newly bribed cities don't have Temples, and if this is the case with their remaining cities, I wonder if this will increase the revolting cities?

It seems if they didn't have temples it may partially explain the Musical Governments from earlier in the game, I seem to remember them changing every couple turns (as only the AI can )

All in all, looks like a successful round of turns, I look forward to seeing more screenshots, hopefully Apolyton allows our Ministers to provide them.

I thought the cost of bribing the Dragoon was too high when there was a path around it. But there turned out to be a Musketeer stationed South of Bombay and I couldn't move our Fanatic past their Zone of Control. A Cannon joined the Dragoon, so I couldn't bribe anyone because I would have had to leave the Dip alone for a turn adjacent to one of the units. It was like a bad pawn/king end game. By the time I solved the problem, the Americans were in Demo again.

You *did* receive the file (eventually), I hope!

I'll have to look at the upload display rules again now that I am more awake. I'd been up 22 hours by that point.

Whenever a city is bribed, temples and cathedrals are automatically destroyed.

This is the experience of many multiplayer games I played with city bribe allowed.

True, but what we mostly have are Cannons, Fanatics, and Riflemen. I'll *try* to post a map showing where our RR lines are at the moment.

Yes, you did. It is a very rare thing for me to not follow the recommendations of my Ministers to the finest detail, and do I ever regret not doing so, now! I should have checked the type of Govt the Americans were in before I tried to bribe Bombay, too.

Here is our RR and intercity road network. Naturally, many cities are roaded within their boundaries (though those are not included here) and that will make it easier to connect some of them in the future. Additionally, some cities have very direct river travel between them, and those don't show up either.

We will be using this network to collect our armies at launch cities nearest the next civ we want to attack and we will have teams of Engineers build RR toward the civ we are going to attack.

I don't think we necessarily want all those RR in place ahead of time, though, or we will just make it easy for harrassment by the civs we are not yet attacking.

There was a net cost of about 1240G to bribe Philadelphia. Here's what we got for our gold in1794. The Americans build nice cities. Just thought the Citizens should see their tithes at work:

Here is a pic of our mighty army bearing down on the Zulus. I expect our SMC will have some fun deciding what to do with all these units. Most of the groups are stacked with a Fanatic (or 2) and a Cannon. Some have Diplomats with them:

Oh oh, three posts in a row.....better stop posting before the spam police arrive (though the more I read this thread, the more questions I seem to have)

The Greeks have a city to the west of their other cities (South of Dominion if I guess right). Is this a newly discovered city or have we recently bribed the city to the Northeast? (The reason I ask is I wonder if the Greeks have more cities closer to our core (not yet discovered by us)...similar to the Problems we encountered with the Romans a while back where they built cities behind our lines. If there are Greek cities being built close to our homeland, it seems we can cheaply bribe them, and I would support finding and bribing these cities asap. They would be too close to our homeland for me)

/me , the one who will now be quiet, and wait for some answers

p.s. I believe we are obviously rolling along and unstoppable now, I look forward to the finish though, and seeing what our enemies are able to throw at us
