Locutus failed last round as well... I don't think he has that good a chance

But korn isn't in, and he deserves to be in. I vote for him as much as I can...

Nobody remembers that thing. Hell, start a poll on the Civ III thread "Do you remember who Theben was and what his contributions to Apolyton included?" Then list a bunch of different options, like "He was one of the original three administrators, but quit two years ago" and "He used to moderate the Stories forum before splitting away and founding ACOL", and somewhere in the twenty or so options bury in "He worked on the Civ III List." See what the results are. (Use any Threadmaster you like, but Bell and Theben are the only ones I remember very well, not counting migrates like Snowfire and Yin of course.)

Give yourself ten bonus votes (or something) for being "the guy who championed the dubious prospect of an Apolyton hall of fame," and give the bonus votes to Korn. I doubt that anybody will really mind.

And if I get in, I'm the first one to have a conspiracy against the Hall of Shame.

I could, but there would be outrage
Mostly held by whoever was bumped because of korn's votes

Yes, it's sad, the Civ III people hardly remember their elders.

I used to read the List for hours day upon day.

It was where I first heard of Imran, Theben, Bell, korn, yin, etc.
(I think even S. Kroeze had a few ideas )
                  -
I think Bell was still posting as late as Dec 2000... I seem to remeber one or 2 posts by him, but don't remember much else.

Thanks for reminding me about Theben.
If anyone deserves to be in the Hall- it's Theben!

So what were the results for those of us not visiting OTF on a regular basis?

Thanks IW, had problems finding it in that post with all the winking going on.

                            Sikander

In an unusual step, I decided to vote for Sikander rather than korn469 (who does great in the Civ III area) to show my appriciation for his excellent posts.

But at least you got into the hall
