  • No, I do not want a University degree!

Argh, now THIS is really annoying. I can live with pop-ups (I have Firefox ), I can live with ads anywhere, but this ad with a voice message from the "University of Phoenix" (Phoenix, Papua New Guinea??) that offers me a grade fast.
I was in office today and was just lucky that I was alone, otherwise this would have been really embarassing!
    I hate that.

Turn off your sound... why do you need it on when you're at work?

The only thing worse than getting popups is getting popups with sound tracks. I commiserate. I have heard, BTW, that there is a way to keep ads of any kind from your Poly experience.

Ugh, I hate ads with sounds.

Sometimes I have my speakers off while surfing poly and then it's no problem, but if I have civ open at the same time then I will have sound on, and then it's very annoying.

            1) I generally don't surf porn sites during work, so why would I have to turn off the sound?
            2) At home, I do have a Belinea screen that is a bit old and even makes a bit sound when muted...

If this were the Poly policy - to bring non Poly-Plus members to subscribe by making more, and more annoying ads, I'd rather leave this place. However, I don't think this is the right track.

                Ads with sound suk.

Poly does not make the ads.

A conspiracy against you it is not.

These three statements are true. No need to leave.

I was just answering to the advice that there is a way to get rid of that and the consequences I'd have to draw if that were the ONLY solution to the problem, not that I actually believe Poly is conciously lancing such garbage - that's actually what the smiley at the end was meant for...

If it comes again, I'll make a screenshot, but as the annoying thing is the sound thios won't help much.
But at any rate, I think from my first post one could get the wrong impression that it was a pop-up, while it actually was a banner ad top right of the page.
