Ninety credits? Considering our latest change in stance - I don't think so! Unless we really need that money? How much of a benefit would it have on them (they are whingeing about effic)?

Oh, and I even got an idea if I am to post our disapproval.
Lieutenant Colonel Maniac has decided to decline your proposal.
Lieutenant Colonel Maniac has activated a special clause of the Spartan Constitution that gives the senior officer complete executive control over the Federation in a state of factional emergency.Cake and grief counseling will be available at the conclusion of the test. Thank you for helping us help you help us all!

I guess with the "time value of money" we could maybe accept:- 10 per year for 15 year (our starting position)
- 15 per for 9 years
- 20 per year for 6 years
- 100 now
with the same 15 year embargo on 3rd party trades and a no-CDF restriction?

But if they say no - or offer a counter prposal - tell them to shove it. Or don't respond at all. This is what it means to be a Spartan. It's not the killing or the suffering that matters. It's the purity of focus, without fear of death or pain.

Hmm - interesting post in the Embassy by argenine. (and yoda has posted my e-mail re the "deep pact"
I see the Morganites want to take a run at the governorship as soon as they get the commlinks (reckoning the PTS - they built it last turn, apparently - will give them a huge pop boost)
That was a Kody trick last game. Hive got the PTS, and essentially disbanded every base thru colony pods, putting up fresh size 3 ones immediately (the last one disbanding founding the new base on the same site.
So they'll go thru a phase of building nothing but colony pods (new size 3 bases will build 3 colony pods to transmigrate into 3 new size-3 bases, and so on. growth is exoponential) ...................
but
.......................... during that phase they are extremely vulnerable, as their military infrastructure can't keep up with their population and base growth

2. Inform the other human factions of this and strike a temporary pact with them.
3. Crush Morgan before he becomes a problem?Cake and grief counseling will be available at the conclusion of the test. Thank you for helping us help you help us all!

We don't have the ability to launch an invasion of an AI faction. Let alone a human controlled one. Distance to target, time to gear up, production capability is insufficient (other reasons too, but these will suffice). Nor will it be in time. It's still the early game.
We have to establish out own core group of bases. Build a solid foundation from which to be able to launch from.
I don't see us really starting to be a "real" threat internationally, untill we have missile infantry, and probably, drop capability. This is what it means to be a Spartan. It's not the killing or the suffering that matters. It's the purity of focus, without fear of death or pain.

Btw, if it's likely that the Morganites will become planetary governor, how about we try to sign a pact with them after all (until we decide to invade them)? He'll have infiltration data on us anyway, so what to we have to lose?

Morgan has the turn (or will have as soon as they download it)
Anything we want to say to them, get from them, sell/trade to them?
(and did anyony understand arginine's last paragraoh in his last post?

I should also point out that invasions always take longer than expected. The PTS will increase Morgan's might. Had your faction already taken action it would have gotten more than expected for little in return.
had we invaded them recently we'd have met stiffer resistance than expected and got worthless bases wiped out?
Had we pacted with them we'd hasve had to give up little but reaped huge rewards?
I dunno

I think by "taken action" he means "invaded us". Because why else would he talk about invasions in the first sentence? It doesn't make sense otherwise. I hardly think the Morganites would have agreed to a pact that would have been very profitable to us but less so to them.
I should post a "what? you think we've been intent on invading you? we're shocked."Cake and grief counseling will be available at the conclusion of the test. Thank you for helping us help you help us all!
