if we say in public we are medium but in private talks we say we are very strong we contradict ourselves to much...which of the 2 will they believe....confusing is always good...but not in away that they take steps to be prepared for us...FEAR is a good thing except is they take steps to remove that fear

Micha said this in the turnrate thread in the general forum:
btw, we have a tie on an important decision, that´s what causes the delay. But I´m sure it will be ruled out soon.
1. Morgans have met another faction
2. They are discussing something like a base location or production decisions, which for some reason is very contentious
3. They are bickering over who stole cookies out of the cookie jar.
What do you guys think?Civ IV is digital crack. If you are a college student in the middle of the semester, don't touch it with a 10-foot pole. I'm serious.

Hmm - and their current turn has been downloaded 13 times
That's a lot of players simultaneously opening the turn (and I hope the mods/gods are being diligent in ensuring that no-one is exploring/playing ahead - or if they do accidentally, that they are ziplipped about what they might have seen and abstain from commenting on further movement)
So my guess is that they've met someone (AI prolly) and they're internally polling what to trade, etc. If it's a human faction we'll know soon enough as we'll see spikes in the powerbar graphs

I doubt it's playing ahead, anyone doing that certainly wouldn't be stupid enough to actually download the save a dozen times. That'll attract attention, just like it has now.Cake and grief counseling will be available at the conclusion of the test. Thank you for helping us help you help us all!

Some other info about the Hive:

They have at least the following technologies:
Industrial Base (they have synthmetal garrisons)
Doctrine Loyalty (starting tech & running Police State)
Planetary Networks (they're running Planned Economics)
Information Networks (prerequisite of PlaNets - or did they trade with the Angels or Morganites?)

How would you evaluate the defensive capabilities of the Hive so far? Should we concentrate on being builder for the time being and wait for a better occasion to go hybrid?Cake and grief counseling will be available at the conclusion of the test. Thank you for helping us help you help us all!

We can see that they already have sythmetal sentinels. From there it's not far to plasma sentinels, which would really wreck our war plans, IMO.
We really need to find Zakharov or Lal. Oh, if we found them next door, how sweet that would be!
Perhaps the Morganites had an exploring scout patrol pop a pod and fall through a dimensional gate, transporting it near Hive territory?Civ IV is digital crack. If you are a college student in the middle of the semester, don't touch it with a 10-foot pole. I'm serious.

Perhaps this could mean the reason of the Morganite turnplay delay was because they were negotiating a tech trade deal with the Angels, who they had met via the Hive.
