Yeah, Morgan's drop in power is weird. Could he have faced and lost to a mindworm assault?

Hmm - unless the power graphs are compiled at the beginning of the year and are nor dynamic (ie what the Gaians see we see). Morgan would still just have 2 pops when 2116 started and maybe that caused the dip
Or else, if dynamic, as Maniac says, perhaps they lost a scout patrol to a mindworm - that'd do it too

Covert Operations report - 2117
Hmm, It seems that my analysis of last year's position might be faulty:

So my current analysis is that they have 3 bases and 2 colony pods in transit
No change to the Gaians, nor to MorganLast edited by Googlie; July 25, 2004, 10:01.

No - that can't be it. These are from the same Sparta-2117 turn. Both Maniac and I downloaded it, I open it to extract the info data, and thus produce the barchart. maniac opens it to play the turn, and that's his barchart.
The power values can't be different between us as we're looking at the same turn, same data.

Covert Operations Report - 2118
(As the game gets deeper, without infiltration our "analysis" becomes more our "surmising")
Facts:
- Yang has taken the military lead from Zakharov
- Morgan is size 4 pop (as are we), Angels and Gaians at size 3 each
- None of the 3 has yet researched/popped/traded Doctrine Mobility (and thus not Doctrine Flexibility either)
- All have Centauri Ecology and Information Networks
- No-one has started a Special Project yet
- We have edged ahead of the Angels in the powerbar charts (our tech, or the Ogre)
Surmisings:- Angels still just have 3 bases, but have 2 colony pods in transit
- Gaians just have 3 bases - no colony pods in transit that we can deduce from prior pop figures
- Morgan has 4 bases - likewise, no new CP's nor any in transit
