Hey Googlie:
I just saw that you posted our covert ops banner in one of the threads in the strategy section!?
Is it me, or were we waiting to unveil it in one of the Phalanx issues? This is what it means to be a Spartan. It's not the killing or the suffering that matters. It's the purity of focus, without fear of death or pain.

See this thread.
Edit: This means that currently the only person who has applied once but has not been authorized is General Diego.Last edited by Maniac; October 22, 2004, 15:33.

That link just brings me to the demo game page. I've posted twice in the recruitment thread, but am not a big 'post for no reason' fan, as what's going on in the recreation commons. This is what it means to be a Spartan. Oh. I read that already.
Although, I've read his SMAC guide; I never had the occaision of actually interacting with this Vel guy.
Closest I came, was years ago. I was invited to replace someone in a game that was forming off the boards. Vel and Ogie were going to be in it. I was greatly honored at the time (cause I was a non-entity in the established elite players community), and jumped at the opportunity. But it never got off the ground. IIRC Vel got sick at the time, and it never got going again. This is what it means to be a Spartan. It's not the killing or the suffering that matters.
