Do bunkers under bases do anything? By the time I can build them, my normal expansion is more or less halted.

That was just a supposition..
Methinks, they do - I remeber one thread where it was discussed (on strategy/general forums)-- What history has taught us is that people do not learn from history.
-- Programming today is a race between software engineers striving to build bigger and better idiot-proof programs, and the Universe trying to produce bigger and better idiots. So far, the Universe is winning.

I doubt we even need to decide if to accept on treaties of friendship. I am in favour. I propose trading for Mobility, and possible other military techs they have. It would be wise to start friendship relations with them for future.
Infiltration and tech steal look good, there is also one option more - if we get Mobility from Spartans, there is a good chance we will get Loyalty by stealing with both probes - which would enable us to build CN after wave of expansion with colony pods, and also, path to Intelectual Integrity (CDF would sure be useful, as would nonlethal methods). Also, if Spartans have AP, and we trade for it two, we are sure to probe Yang for it.SMAC/X FAQ | Chiron Archives

I wouldn't give up infiltration of the strongest AI in the hopes that our guesses as to his tech are correct, and in teh hopes that we can bypass the security interlocks. Furthermore, if we want to press any kind of war, we need infiltrator info. We can bring another probe into Yang's area in roughly 7 years, though, from Gaia's Landing. That way, we can get infiltration and potentially 2 techs."Cutlery confused Stalin"

Well, I am only concerned in waging defensive war now. Your suggestions sounds reasonableI could reconstruct partial map of Hive then using F4 information.

I corrected the table a bit
You can figure out the abbreviations by yourself either by pure logic or bu looking to the SMAC/X shortcut key list
Code:object |issue |solution |pros |cons ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ MW@(41,51:NW) |orders? |heal(blocked:rover) |Fungus |10% dmg Former2t NW<-VS |orders? |? |? |? Formerin UF |H SHIFT-F||->? |<--1. |speed SHIFT-F |R-->future Bases 2formers@(50,74)|orders? |? |? |? AA@(58,60) |->(SE->59,61)? |S:fungus &SW,W: pods |->B for next SP|no escort MW@(55,53:fung) |->W? |-->Hive |? |!sudden Hive attacks MW&probe@(54,54)|->W(rocky t)? |Probe-L->foil |? |!Hive attacks Probe@(52,54) |->(52,56) |alternative probe L |safe,can wait |!Hive attacks Foil@(47,57) |->(49,55) |/ N &prepare L next MY |? |!Fungus@north, better->E near coast SL@VS |orders? |->N,@->fung |escort AA |AA=not important
Also there should be only 1 post containing the table at the thread and recommendably the 2nd or 3rd post
1st post should contain CTs report that he has sent the turn and a screenshot with current situation and ,optionally, his proposals
editor's notes:
1.Do not use whitespace (space symbol) to format the table)
2.Try to express everything as short as you can-- What history has taught us is that people do not learn from history.

Well, you are obviously better at it binTravkin.
Chaos, perhaps we should offer Biogenetics to Spartans, but not accept the offer, in hope they offer us Doctrine : Mobility in their turn and accept it. There is no news on the diplomatic front.SMAC/X FAQ | Chiron Archives

[friendly reminder]Around 11 hours left from out turn limit. I believe Chaos shall do it as always, although nobody suggested anything for some formers, I guess Chaos needs to do what seems best once again.. SL needs to escort AA
Also, adding IB and IA on bargaining table without accepting the deal seems okay. [/friendly reminder]

I never doubted you will forget, we don't want to have our mods disturbed again by our speed.
Just one thing: according to results of the poll, we should notify the Angels we are in vendetta with Hive. It would be good if Ouro can do it, if he can't I will do it, but tommorow. That can account for 'delays' in our turnplaying and also for techs we shall hopefully receive soon (Angels will think we 'liberated' them from Hive), increasing the time before the secret about contact with SF is revealed to them.
This should be a simple message, noting that we feel we should inform them of this, because they are our firends, and they might find themselves in danger because of their treaty with us (so feel that we need to tell them that), and remind them that this may lead to aquiring new technologies in future.Last edited by Illuminatus; October 7, 2004, 13:47.SMAC/X FAQ | Chiron Archives

Oh, and please note that Spartans sent us some interesting info about Hive bases and units, with another offer we will be forced to refuse.SMAC/X FAQ | Chiron Archives

Plan of Action for 2142
Move foil into position to scout the path to the Hive _OR_ load a probe team onto the foil.
Misc forming and building.
Move northwestern mind worm back north, hoping the Spartan rover will be in a better spot then.
No map, same internet issue. It hasn't changed drastically since the last picture, and you can always get the turn and view it."Cutlery confused Stalin"
