Ok, I feel like a moment of truth.

Am I right that we were never for a single turn in Free Market?

What were we thinking? We lost PEG by one turn. We lost HSA by one turn. I have a feeling, that in FM our economy and tech rate would be at least somewhat faster and possibly we might not loose both SP.

    Any thoughts?

Looks like forum will be still up, together with the faction. Unless Spartans do a quick takeover of DA in 2 turns or something, but I daubt. They already took everything they could. I suspect Spartan economy to be finelly tuned, so it is better than Gaian. Spartan will have Fusion Power very soon, and you know what it does to needlejet costs.
I wonder if they first take over the Hive or our DA?

Then a question to remaining members of Data Angels Faction. Since we have recently only 5 active members.

    What to do?

    Hercules
    Possibly play further.

    GeoModder
    Cease faction.

    ForesterSOF
Play to the end after giving everthing we can to M and G.

    Cataphract887
    Possibly play further.

    Mart7x5
Cease faction. Transfer all remaining units to Gaians. Transfer all technologies to either Morganities or Gaians.

    Bending the rules?

Is it prohibited? Then Dictatorship is a good solution. We nominate e.g. General Hercules the sole faction leader and only authority with unlimited powers over the DA.

Leading vendetta should be easier that way, not to mention game would proceed faster. If I were to propose anything, however, would be "No agreement with Spartans" policy. No chance for any benefits from DA.

    Isn't that bending the rules?

But sorry, I have no intention to go through a rearguard war a second time. Not worth the effort for me.

Hercules thought about continuing. And I think, if this is the wish of a single member of the faction, a Dictatorship should be established here.

In the light of recent events, that Spartans have HSA (or actually complete it in 2189) there is no good point in destroying the remaining bases. They have PSA anyway. However, Orbital Spaceflight or Fusion Power might be taken by them through Planetary Datalinks. I would rather let Gaians to take over our bases. They may build drop units, drop take over FH, Gemka's Loft, then the remaining ones. This should boost Gaians.

    Any thoughts?

It would be kinda like CyCon took over PUT, with this difference, Gaian Union would actually take over the bases.

I have no reason anymore to keep the faction alive. Do you want to halt operation Mayhem now?

Yes, Cataphract, The 2 F-6 from EM I placed in MP should be for this single turn in the air above the MP Bay. That's it. And we really needed 4 fighters for alternating patrols. Tacticals are very useful here. Expensive though. Old dilema.

One more example, that energy is everything. F-4 fighters cost like 3 rows. Then you upgrade them to top F-6. You need though good economy.

actually i think sparta have been using a univeristy trick,of gifting them all their techs so they can advance at a higer rate.i used it in a game recently-works super.

unless they used a probe foil.

mart,we didnt have any time to do that.we only knew the attack was there the turn it hit

although 4 f6 would have kept the base safe,by alternating i suppose

    Now I see the mistake.
The 2 F-6 should be placed in the air on the 2 sea tiles next to Mart Pact.

This is a lesson for future. Coastal bases are vulerable for attack from the sea, so what you do is block sea tiles as best as you can. This mistake allowed Spartans to get HSA.

Then they didn't steal it from us. However they may have been one turn from discovering something else and got MMI from us to enable the switch.
