FlameFlash - it is confirmed by Chaos Theory - they did discover EcolEng and not IntInt (thus opportunity is lost). Kasiopeia informed that CMNs refused replay.
Gaians can research Int Int, though I do not know if they do now in fact. Anyway they will get something for their Ecol Eng. We probably give them IntInt.

We should probably confirm that preaccepting to Gaians Intel Integ will make everything fine and dandy.I'm not conceited, conceit is a fault and I have no faults...

From the Morgans.
Guys, can someone else handle the diplo for a while? I'm getting rather busy the next few weeks.
Geo
You said earlier that you were interested in a tech trade.
I notice that your turn is coming up soon.
Would you like to do a tech trade?
Please let me know what you want and what you want to offer?

Ok, so I will write we can trade:
- world map
- Gaian commlink
- Optical Computers
And ask what they can offer in return

The answer from Mead - Morganities:
Let me check.
I'll try real hard to get back to you before your turn is due so we can consumate the deal.
Pending approval from the rest of the Morgan team I believe we can offer the Spartan, Lal's, Zak's, and of course, Yang's commlinks. Whose commlink would you like in return for the Gaian commlink?
We also have Impac and Plasma. Which would you like in return for Optical?
We can exchange world maps.
Mead
PS
It looks like I will be serving as the Morgan Turnplayer for the next two turns.
PPS
I understand from Geo that there is some internal policy reason that hinders the DA's ability to enter into a Pact.
Can you let me know what that is so we can find a way to accomadate your needs? We would like to enter into a Pact so we can double the commerce income. With solar flares coming up next turn both of us could earn triple the amount normally available.
1) PK commlink (maybe they give both? but I doubt it)
2) plasma armor here - we can probe Impact units, and maybe very soon gatling ones - so plasma i value here 10 times more.
3) we agree for map exchange.
Pact for better energy rate - is it worth getting Spartans more away from us? They recently got in bigger problem with Morganities. Surely Spartans in my oppinion will complain about it when they find it.
And Gaians will too. After all we still continue "share of inteligence" talks - have to attend this oneLast edited by Mart; February 16, 2005, 14:41.

And a new message from Mead:
Spartans Running Away With the Game
mart7x5
I can confirm that we are now in Vendetta with the Spartans.
I understand you may have lost some units to the Spartan menace.
We too have lost units, and are concerned that the Spartans may be running away with the game. It may be too late to stop them, but I propose that we work much closer together to try to reign them in.
Mead
what to do? I have to take a closer thought on it

Don't worry about their belief that we lost units to the Spartans, I think it comes from my post in the latest Spartan news edition.
And we knew way before this message that they were in vendetta, so that's nothing new either.
I agree with your proposals towards them, but I'm not in favour of pacting anyone. Let's first see how efficient the Spartan military is vs the Morgan energy expenditure, and use their common distraction to infiltrate them.
Edit: O btw, aren't we supposed to share the information with the Gaians that we have met the Morgans? Was that part of the treaty?

Geo, yes - I will write the official answer to Mead soon, if only one more oppinion could be posted.

Perhaps sent an PM to Hercules, he's bound to go online in the next few hours to see the result of his Galactic Overlord game.

Ok, I think of the following message to Morganities. Take closer look to explanation re Pact. I am not sure if I talk here too much, or make it too blurry. In general, this should suggest them that we may enter pact in the future though we CANNOT now. On the other hand - this may send to them kinda message, that we are a bit hostile to them. No perfect solution here, as in real diplomacy.
Code:Director Mead, In response to your communication we would like to trade the following items: 1) Gaian commlink for Peacekeeper Forces commlink. However if you could also provide us with Provost Zakharov's commlink we would be interested to hear your proposal. 2) We would be willing to exchange Optical computers technology for Plasma technology. 3) We agree for world map trade too, so this is confirmed. Regarding the Pact between our factions, please be informed that we presently are not in any other pact agreement on the Planet. We seriously consider your offer, though this require appropriate diplomacy also with other factions. Neglecting other factions' opinion regarding such important matter as our plans for entering pacts with other factions might worsen our relations with these factions. IT Mart

It's a good message, and no hostile intent at all in it.
We wouldn't be trading with them otherwise.
I edited some spelling in it.
One thing tho. It might not be necessary to trade Uni comlink with them, for I still suspect the Spartans to be north of us and the Uni to their west (we know they're submitted to the Spartans, thus must be quite close for an early war).

So then withdraw Univ commlink request? - what for pay for it, when we can get it later for free?
