Hey, so much offers!
And why there is no invitement to Gaian Union?
Maybe we're not so keen on convincing players to join us, but just see that we're biggest team so, there will almost always be someone online and looking at the forum - if you have a question just post it and you won't have to wait for days for an answer!
You can PM Lord Illuminatus to let him know you want to join us!
Also - we're a big faction but we still have some very interesting seats for you to take!
and don't forget to read our latest issue!-- What history has taught us is that people do not learn from history.

General player?
Hi.
I've played AC before, and was thinking about joining a faction for the recent game, but I had a few questions to ask first:
1.) I understand how the actual PC game works, but I'm more interested in the role-playing. How do the two intertwine? For example: will one faction decide to try to initiate war or try to declare a peace treaty because of actions in the role-playing, or is it more the players try to declare war or a peace treaty and the roleplaying community reacts?
2.) I get lost in the message boards sometimes. Is there a thread with a general history of the game thus far, or is it the responsibilty of each faction? I think it would be fun to write some history documents for the enjoyment of participants to "look back upon", as well as for new members thinking of joining being able to easily take a look at the state of the world and decide what would be the faction they would wish to join.

I'd say usually actual game strategy influences peace or war, and the roleplaying element is secondary to that and reacts to it accordingly. This has been the case in former games, as far as I know - for instance, ACDG2 had a Drone-Hive alliance, which doesn't' seem too likely roleplaying-wise.

I didn't start to think of getting aboard ACDG2 until it was about at this stage, but by then it had gotten too big to jump in. I almost had the same happen to me in this game too, but I managed to end my hiatus just when things got complicated.Cake and grief counseling will be available at the conclusion of the test. Thank you for helping us help you help us all!

Exactly!
The thing with historical documents is that they can only be published when all their secrets are publically known or most factions involved are eradicated...
I am still struggeling with the Morganite history thread, and it´s a lot of work. Seeing how Snowflake tries to do the same thing for ALL factions, I cannot but take of my hat and wish good luckHeinrich, King of Germany, Duke of Saxony in Cyclotron's amazing Holy Roman Empire NES

Understood
I guess balancing making a historical text while keeping secrets is a troublesome task (short of having each faction write their "history", no matter how far from the truth it is, and compile it together, lies and all).
It looks as if each faction has their own historian. Is there one that would have that spot open currently? )

I'd ask you to be ours; but I would first have to clear it with the rest of the "elite officer class" of the Junta. From what Lt. Colonel Maniac has just previously posted, you can gather that; you'll need to acquaint yourself with our heirarchy and protocols. Also, so much of our strategy sessions are classified and/or top secret - that you would be require to pass a thorough screening seesion before even being considered for such a position.
Then again...
Maybe... I could get you in as a special attache in the; Faculty to Military History, to the Spartan Ministery of Strategic Studies... (?)
Hmmm...
Or... Perhaps as the scribe of our Official War Diaries... (?).
