5 turns after liberation, after I have dumped 2000 gold into trying to "steal" the CS as my ally, they suddenly jump from being ally of Japan ( eliminated ) to being at war with me and ally of France ( who is not at war with me. ) I am going to back up to a previous autosave and see if I can get this to play out correctly.

ok played it thru again, and it made more sense this time.
after i liberated, my relationship was at 170/30. i was still a friend, and Japan (eliminated) was the ally.
after 1 turn ( i gave no gold this time ) the game picked up that Japan was gone, and suddenly I am the ally. There is nothing more dangerous than a large group of naive americans led by a moron.

Stealth bombers still will not promote. I have one with 160/10 exp.
In my current game, Russia is building Mobile Sams to the virtual exclusion of all other units.
The AI fails to address the protection of its vital strategic resources. In this game I was kicking India's gluteous, and when they offered me peace giving up a couple large cities, luxuries and cash, I altered the offer to ask for two small cities only. They accepted. Unfortunately for them, those two cities were sitting on their only 3 sources of aluminum. This feels like an exploit and I won't do it again, however-- the AI needs to assess the strategic resource situation a little better. There is nothing more dangerous than a large group of naive americans led by a moron.

Also the AI doesn't use their ships for anything. In my last game I had a lot of my units in the water just outside their capital and also a few destroyers. They had maybe around 5-10 ships within visibility range all the time (and from the look of it they also had a lot of ships nearby)
The AI didn't fire a single shot from their ships, and they only sailed over one of my units. Their ships just stood there waiting to be destroyed
The above happened several times during the game, though most of the time it was their ships sailing near by cities. I just took out their ships one by one, while their ships was just "hanging out"... didn't want to fire a single shot at my units on land or at my cities
And this was on Emperor difficultyThis space is empty... or is it?

Contriary to Adagio, enemy ships have attacked my ships, even when they had no chance of winning. The only enemy ships leaving ships alone have been our of their visual range. I usually have the longer visual range. I have yet to let an embarked unit get close enough to an enemy ship to find out what it would do.

In re naval units:
I have at times had enemy ships that just seem to sit still, doing nothing even when I have them engaged by 2 ships. They don't fire back or even attempt to flee. I have also had my embarked units swooped on by AI naval units. I have also had my navy engaged by AI units. What I have NEVER seen is the AI use their ships effectively. I have seen the AI build subs, but never use them as anything other than targets for my destroyers. There is nothing more dangerous than a large group of naive americans led by a moron.

I'm hitting only three bugs of more than cosmetic effect, but they are all really annoying.
* Roads to CSes no longer are recognized. This is very bad, and new.
* AIs now react as if they saw a buildup on their borders, whenever they see a bunch of your units anywhere. This is really really bad. For example, when your friend from another continent sends a scout to map yours, using your open borders treaty. They see your whole army sitting at home, and conclude that you are about to invade them. Or they wander into a war zone where you are attacking somebody else, see your whole army, and conclude that you are about to invade them. I think I even got this once when one of their ships spotted two whole units garrisoning a border with a third party.
* Stealth bombers now gain experience, but never level up. Bizarre, and double-bizarre that this wasn't noticed when testing the fix to them gaining exp.

The trick isn't to break some eggs to make an omelette, it's convincing the eggs to break themselves in order to aspire to omelettehood.

Why would they hold back 14 units to defend the capitol???
Anti-aircraft guns and mobile SAMS are completely whacked. The AI uses them as regular military units and they are surprisingly effective in that role.

Btw, this thread is outdated. I play with a newer version already (1.0.1.161 or so).
In late game I got a phantom unit after upgrading an AA gun to a mobile SAM. The icon of the AA gun didn't disappear and remained on the map.
I also noticed a phantom road that I cleared earlier with a worker, but that still remained visible.
There's all sorts of phantom things happening in the late-game.
Finally I noticed that my worker took a rather dangerous path when telling it to go to the other continent. Yellow is at war with blue, yet the yellow worker crosses the ocean right inside the blue border. This is not really a bug, but a rather inconvenient "feature" and besides the AI may act in a similar way if it relies on the same path finding.
