When you think of Fascism in the 20th century, chances are the first thing that comes to mind is Nazi Germany and it's many swastikas (which by the way are shown in pretty much every movie and documentary on TV, so why is it wrong in a game, when it's just fine everywhere else), not Italy and some wheat symbol.

For the record, the Swastika predates the Nazis by several hundred years (and can be currently found in many European cathedrals).

I chose to model Nazi Germany in the patch simply because it's far more recognized and because it IS controversial... no dancing around the topic... you can't IGNORE history.

I'm sure if the nazis were around today, they'd love "Political Correctness", because it's just a fancy word for censorship and banning thoughts you don't agree with, which oddly enough is what the Fascists practiced a lot of.

Actually, when I think fascism, I think Mussolini.

Complements to Crazyroach!!!

First off, nobody better flame crazyroach, this was my request... anyone wanna tell the world about their superior morals, and how you are obviously better than us, then tell it to me, and lay off crazyroach!

Crazy Roach, the Hitler animation is good work, but I did realize something.

You certainly did the "hard work" on the animations... I could never figure that out myself, but you seemed to have missed the "easy bit" with the still shots of happy/angry/content leaders in the "F4" Trade menu... for instance, I still see Bismarck's mug on the F4 trade menu!!!

We're talking about the "leaderheads" directory on the Art folder of course.

Obviously this should be an easy fix, and it's something I can even do myself as I do know how to manipulate still shots, but I just thought this might be something you want to look into to complete your excellent work!

I will try to incorprate your head into the "official" Fascist Patch with your kind permission!

You're amazing crazyroach... I really love what you're able to do!

Damn my having to leave for Saudi Tomorrow!!!! If I had the time, I'd track down some happy/angry color pictures of Hitler... heck, I might even have some in my own library of books (perhaps using propoganda posters instead of actual pics might be useful to get color images instead of B/W photos).

I know it's hard to find decent color pictures of Hitler... the Germans weren't very fond of color film... about the only color pics of Hitler come from Eva Braun's shots at the Obersalzburg.

Well anyways, for such short notice, you're doing a WONDERFUL job crazyroach! I absolutely am in-debt to you!

One minor point, which of course I'm fixing on my end, but I couldn't help but notice you attached v1.0 of the Fascist Patch with your images... I'm of course up to a higher version number now, but by the end of the day, if you have all the images together, I will "officially" release v1.3 with the latest Fascist Patch changes combined with your excellent image work!

The Fascist Patch is "pre-prepped" for v1.3... all read me, installation instructions and websites are pre-moded for the new official patch with Hitler heads. It won't take me but a few minutes after I recieve all of crazy's images to update the Fascist Patch to v1.3...

Of course, it must be completed within 24 hours before I leave for the Gulf!

I'm still packing, and still hope to hear from crazyroach before I have to leave country.

Hey Wolfshanze be careful over there man. Cant wait for u to get back to get some more of your work. You know that was the one thing that about made me not buy civ3 was that when I heard it only had five goverments in which Fascism was not included of coarse, You have helped make this game much more enjoyable! Thanx alot.

P.S. Maybe Crazyroach can fill in for you till you get back. Then you guys put your heads together and come up with some really cool stuff.

One last request before I go (really, it's the last)...

Any chance you could swap the B/W (happy/sad) images from the trade screen for the color happy/sad images you now have with the conquest screens???

I'm having a problem fitting them in perfectly into those circles!

This must be my last request... I leave country tomorrow, but if I could squeek a little more color into the Fascist Patch!?!?! I would just like to get rid of the B/W photos in the trade screen and replace them with the "happy/sad" color faces! (those darn black circles are hard on my old eyes)
