  • Would a resident hex-master be kind enough to DL the latest
scn file and fix the neutrals (barbs) to be allied with everyone?

It would stop the AI going on idiotic crusades to throw units
away, an hopefully allow them to concentrate on their foes!

    Cheers in advance!

What programming headaches? Currently you have a bloated download package full of replicated graphics files.

Done. Attachment includes another file you might *cough* want to include in the download.

If find it simpler than having to deal with batch files and all the attendant compatibility troubles.

If someone writes me a batch prog to change the multi-file content, I'll use it!

Cheers, Catfish...I didn't include the anim-blockers because I assumed people playing ToT
scens would know to isolate the SPR files. Had no complaints from any playtesters so far!

But it is worth adding anyway...!

        • Catfish, the SCN file you hexed was one I put up from earlier on today, which has older road and unit placements.

Could you grab the SCN I have attached and hex that one?

Sorry to be a pain in the panzerfaust!

Do you mean the choice.com issue? You can either provide the file with the scenario or use Mercator's multi-OS (Win9x/WinNT) style of script.

Well, I can write one for you, but there are plenty of examples floating around from which you can learn. If no-one (including yourself ) has volunteered by the time you've finalised the scenario, PM me.

Get better playtesters. Just kidding. I've got animated terrain from the Original game appearing in your scenario, so there's a problem.

[rant] At the risk of sounding like a broken record in this forum, people playing ToT scenarios shouldn't have to isolate their animation files. Many people (like me - when I actually play the game) use animated sprites for the Original game and they shouldn't have to dick around with their game installations. It should be the responsibility of the scenario designer to make sure the sprites don't interfere with the scenario. My advice to ToT scenario designers (and playtesters) is to put all the animation files back where they belong. That way they can see for themselves whether they have a problem before a scenario is released. I've written a guide on how to handle sprites in ToT scenarios; it can be found here. [/rant]

If someone does me a batch, I'll pack choice with the scen just in case.

But that will be once everything is tested, etc.

Aha! In that case I will definitely pack your spr file with the next scenario zip!

              Sound advice!

And cheers for the scn hex, old chap!

                • Would have been smarter to start at the end of this thread for the latest downloads

Can't wait to play. I'll start with a German campaign, mid level.

                    Watch out for the Sturmoviks!

                    • Yes, the Sturmoviks are fantastic for attacking Axis units. They are a good weapon against those damn Stukas.
I also can attack the Stukas with my ground units, is this right?

Currently I´m producing Sturmoviks, Katyushas, some Artillery and T-34 tanks. Behind Moscow the NKVD will be trained and send westwards for defending the liberated cities. On the highest point of the German Invasion I lost Kiev, Tallinn, Minsk and Kherson. It´s August 1943 and I´m liberating my occupied cities. Until now I had heavy battles with the Axis in the forrests before Pskov.

Maybe I should start a game with the Germans...

                      • Or I start one with Italy and preparing a great Invasion on the USA...

Great to see that the attacks against the Neutrals are now fixed. In my game Italy, Germany, Vichy-France and the Allies took over Turkey. Finnish and German troops conquered Sweden and Swiss was occupied by the Italians.

                        • The AA batteries can attack the aircraft...

Right now I am trying out a new events structure to eliminate the problem of invasions duplicating when multifiles are switched.

I might have a workaround, so I will test that tonight!

PM me first when you've finalised the scenario.
I might have finished CivSwap 2.0 by then, which would mean you don't need any batch files.
