Played until day 47. I have written down a more or less detailed report (almost) turn by turn. Most important of all, I ENJOY IT!

Helm's Deep is fighting fiercly aainst overwhelming Isengard troops, and many of the heroes just arrived to the scene. Merry and pippin approaches Fangorn, escorted by Gimli. Faramir still holds out in Ithilien (man is he godlike or what?). I could go on but now I need a break, and enjoy the weekend. I think I'll mail you the report later on koby.

glad to hear you're enjoying it and discovered no major problems. Funny that you should bring up faramir and helm's deep....I'm planning to change the terrain under the magic pool place to hill from mountain and also the same for the two fortress areas on the outer helm's deep defences just to make it more challenging.

I'm in scotland now on a business trip so I'll be slow in responding. appreciate your help .

No problem. Gaming is a bit slow from my part with an exam coing up and since I got my pre order of LOTRO.. Yes, that stands for Lord of the Rings Online. I usually don't play MMORPGs but this is a dream come true. Imagine actually walking in Middle Earth. Well, this is as close as it gets. *drowls*

Sure, both 1, 2 and the expansion. They're cool, but LotRO is even better.

they were nice, but with a bit too much artistic license. i can't imagine tom bombadil dancing around middle earth beating up orcs is canon. BFME I had a bit of akwardness with castles and merging units but BFME II fixed those problems pretty nicely.

if any one is considering getting the BFME II Witch King expansion pack though, I'd day you're better off without it unless you were series about on-line games.

I kinda liked the fixed bases and the ability to merge units in BFME 1 - you can create a near invincible tower guard / ranger combo unit. I also liked the living world campaign concept.

Arthedain, I'm done with my penultimate round of changes and awaiting your comments...how are your exams comin along?

It's done. Here's my playtester notes. Pretty sloppy written but I hope they can be of some sort of help for you.

Edit: I was planning on continuing soon, but maybe I should get an updated version and start over. This time I've learnt from previous mistakes.

Progress Report

Going down the last furlong now. It won't belong before the release.

With the completion of the dungeon walls and editing of the Advice.txt, everything material is completed. It should just be one last round of testing now and hopefully no more major changes.

(note to myself, REM change Gandalf to aircraft carrier)

one more thing....

If anyone can help, how can I clear the casualty list? I have one dead Eagle and saving as scenario doesn't wipe it, and there is no setting on Civtweak for this.
