As an experiment I picked the Vi Auto.Net and the right map and units loaded up ?

so what is the Vi Auto ?,
is'nt the auto save from when I do my turn ?

If they loaded up correctly then there is nothing wrong with the game, but something you are doing. The Vi Auto.net is a file that the game automatically creates after the player ends the turn as a back up.

Are you 100% certain that you are copying the net file that is downloaded and then pasting it in the same folder as the scenario files? I'm sorry, but it is sounding more like human error that an actual game error.

(To clarify, post a word document of you opening the Vi Auto.Net file, and the screen you get)

Hmm, the floating units would again indicate that play used the wrong folder. The floating units may have been ships in another scenario folder.
