  • La Belle Epoque IV PBEM

La Belle Epoque v.4 is ready!

Hello (posting from an internet café). As I can't access Apolyton from my family's PC (where I'm at for the holiday), I can't show off how beutiful this new version is, nor can I get updates on who wants to join in a new PBEM directly. But I hope my civ friends can bring me situation updates via MSN. Until it's posted I need you to trust me that this is a quality product

Anyway, I've remade the scenario completely. Almost from scratch. New civs, new tech tree, new events, new units, new rules, new cities, new gfx, better balance between the civs, more barbarian activity, to name a few. All in all I'm very happy with the outcome.

The scenario starts in September 1905, right after the Russo-Japanese war and after France and Britain allied as the Entente Cordiale, paving way for a playable Ottoman Empire.

The scenario is finished, I've just made some minor last minute changes, and I will ask a middle man on MSN to post the finished scenario, as well as additional info I may have.

    Russian Empire - Lord Rebel
    Imperial Japan - Academia
    German Reich - Eivind IV
    Ottoman Empire - Saladin
    USA - Eurisko
    Entente Cordiale - AiC
    Italy - Dario

    The world awaits you, gentlemen!

            Et voila, the scenario.

Eivind asked me to stress these two rules:

Units may absolutely not enter mountain squares (save for air units) unless those squares have had roads on them from the beginning of the scenario. If the roads are pillaged, they may be rebuilt. No other mountain squares may be improved in any way, since settlers/engineers are not allowed to move onto them anyway.

Also, the waters north of Canada may not be passed, and neither may the waters north of Kamchatka.

            Enjoy.

Hope it works, first time I use the file upload function.

Very well then, we may now start.

Platypus, is this your first PBEM? Playing PBEMs is quite easy, just ask if you need a how-to.

As a result of our recent glorious victory over the decadent russian "empire", the undefeatable EMPIRE OF JAPAN claims hanyang, dalian and shangai as part of our territories.
Japan has finally awaken, and now Asia has a champion of freedom. A country that sooner or later will clean the continent from unwelcomed foreign expansion.
We are willing to negotiate with mighty europe, but we want to negotiate as equals.

                              Merry Xmas!!

                              Love,
