if I use the following method, I get the right units,maps etc

Mutliplayer Game
Net Work game
TCP/IP
Begin Scenario

anything else ends up being the wrong graphics

You do have all the files in 1 folder, where you also load the *.net files from? It seriouly looks as if you do run it from the regular civ folder.

How about with the bmps I gave you?

Why I think it's not a graphical problem, is that even the name of the civ's is f-ed up, and the units have vanilla names. This would indicate that the file is run seperately from the scenario folder. Have you tried re-installing into another folder, and run it from there?

And this is the correct order, but I bet you've done it like this already:

Network Game
TCP/IP
Load Saved Multiplayer File
(Browse the file from the scenario folder)

Start Game
Ok
Chose your civ
