Rebel, you seem to have forgotten to report that the Herero uprising happened in German West Africa. Anyway, I seem to have massacred the Herero rebels upon killing one of the rebel units (an event was triggered).

I am still having issues with getting the right units to display

Hmm, sounds very weird. This problem, does it only apply to the units or other graphics as well? If you open the file in paint, and save the units as a 24 bit file it should work, though this shouldn't be neccessary.

is there some step I missed in opening it as MP ?

If you're absolutely positive you have the *.net file in the correct folder and the problem continues, try adding this gfx patch into your Belle folder.
