Alright Chris, I'm going to post a remake of the old map I posted a few weeks ago. This one has a moved turtle lagoon with the steam vent trigger in the middle of the lagoon. You will also see many ocean squares set in straight lines. I hope for those to be rail ways that allow for easy travel around the island.
I hate to ruin a good story but I want to give this project a boost and some direction, one to give you some satisfaction, and two to lay down something concrete.
The backstory is that after Captain Haggerty landed they found immense reserves of diamonds on the island, Kimberly pipes to be exact. The crew of the St. Delecroix managed to make it off the island alive after making a makeshift catamaran out of wreckage and logs from the island. The story makes it back to one of the richest men in the world, Cecil Rhodes, famed monopolist of the South African diamond mines. He leads a team of engineers to the island to harvest its riches, but soon his expedition mysteriously disappears after many months constructing infrastructure on the island. From then on the world's elite make a dash to pick up where Cecil Rhodes left off, adamant that, fully prepared, they can make progress where Rhodes did not.
