Call To Power 2 Cradle 3+ mod in progress: https://apolyton.net/forum/other-games/call-to-power-2/ctp2-creation/9437883-making-cradle-3-fully-compatible-with-the-apolyton-edition
These would be my suggestions for the light recon aircraft role as well as the Fokker aircraft. The first canidate for the light recon is a unit I had cooked up for Jules Verne originally, and its meant to be the Wright Brothers Flyer.

Now as for the Fokker Airplane's, I wasn't sure which model you were specifically looking for, so I took the liberty of throwing together this little comilation of regular Fokker's with slight re-colouring jobs to make better use of the ToT pallet, as well as the Camo-versions of the same planes.
I'm not sure when the idea of using camo on airplanes became a popular idea, but it might fit in this scenario nice.
Well here's my thinking. I looked up camoflage in wikipedia and it was used sparingly starting during the Great War and was not produced till very late 1939. But that's beside the point.
We're not going for historical accuracy here, especially since we're not going to have any regular troops represented. If anything, the hardware that would come out of this expedition would be personally owned and subject to the owner's tastes. Or, if the expedition is funded by the military somehow then the unitgs would probably be elite and have different non-standard designs.
I say go with what looks good and can be easily recognizable against the terrain of the island.
I agree with your point on the camoflage planes and the fact this is NOT historical anyways, so why not go with what look good? Now as for the river boat unit your looking for, I'd suggest using Gareth's river boats from "River War 4.0", I think they'd fit the role your looking for. Now I have a question about the "Water Caravan" and the "Raft" your looking for. How big a Raft are you hoping to have? Would a log raft like the one you used in Gold Gultch sufice or were you hoping for a more modern pontoon unit? What about the Water Caravan unit? What sort of a unit did you have in mind for it?
Also, attatched below are corrected versions of two earlier units I posted. The arms in the previous versions had improper shading that made them look flat and dimensionless, this time around they are darker and the shadows more obvious.
I'll take a look at Riverwar tonight. I'm sure the riverboats will look good.
You're right, I was thinking of the raft I made in GG, what do you think? It's simple and looks ok.
The water caravan unit is basically supposed to depict water coming overland from the crater to the initial camps. I was thinking of another donkey, or, since the water caravans will be something that comes after discovering the crater water the "vehicle" could be a giant lizard or something.
One thing I do want included in the water caravan graphic are barrels. I hope to depict city sizes with ever increasing piles of barrels and more tents so I want the connection to be made.
I didn't even notice the problem with the old graphics. Oh well. These look better.
Ok, I took a look at RiverWar but decided I liked the regular old gunboat I used for GG better.
I'd also like to include one of the more colorful Fokkers in the scenario, probably the blue and red one even though I am tempted to include the Red Baron's signature plane.
Also, so as to not appear as a slacker to the industrious Sarsstock, I've been working on a flavor unit that could be used as a nice cliff face.
Industrious eh ? ? I'd actually been feeling guilty for not following with any new units for a few days now while I tinker with a project of Patrick and mine. Now as for the gunboat I actually think your on to something with the older model used in Gold Gulch, in the sense that it was a much smaller boat more likely to be fit in the cargo hold of a larger freighter, maybe it could be "aged" and "rusted up" a bit to reflect the fact this would be a pretty old river gunboat.
Now those cliff faces are looking pretty damn spooky there, they might serve as a wakeup call to the British, Germans and Americans that they're certainly not in Kansas anymore. Have you had any thoughts on the builders of those massive cliff carvings and they're modern day descendants? Are you perhaps in the market for some funky south pacific islander units?
Finally I have three units to add to the end of this little rant of mine. The first is a slightly tweaked version of the monoplane I had posted earlier, only this has a modified tail as well as more shading underneath the wing to make it more evident the wing is fixed above the fuselage. The second is the "Camp Worker" unit, featuring the oldest member of the expedition and his trusted overloaded donkey. Third and final is another take on the generic rifleman, though I have to admit I'm having trouble imagining what generic men's adventure apparel of the 1920's looked like.
I'll try to "rust it up" for you. I think that'll look good.
I'm going to work with the cliffs and some other variations. Perhaps I'll make them taller and combine one or two for some sort of mural effect. I think they have promise, but for now I think they need more polish.
I think we should try for some nice pacific islanders to add some native pinash to the scenario. We can always add ancient atlanteans or whatnot if we want to. Native islanders are good at talking you by surprise, especially when that first arrow gets stuck in a crewman's back.
I like the units. I think the monoplane will the generic unit we use in the scenario. Very nice and realistic.
I love the oldman and the donkey, they will be perfect.
I like the rifleman, I'd say you have the style down just fine. There wasn't much difference between hunting wear and exploration wear back in those days. The basics were a leather coat, a nice wool hat, and a warm scarf to keep out the cold.
Now here are the first three native units I put together today out of elements borrowed from Gareth's excellent "Enemies of Rome" unitset. First is the Native Spearman, cunning, quick and deadly with his precision aim. Second is the Native Swordsman, strong and agile, a fierce force to be reconed with in close quarter combat. Third is the Native Stonethrower, though lightly defended in appearance, he will prove deadly to his foes at short and long ranges.
The next set of native units, also featuring mods of Gareth's "Enemies of Rome" units are the higher ranking members of the island's native society. First is the Native Royal Bodyguard, handpicked by the King himself for they're courage, bravery, strength, and most of all they're fierce and unquestioned loyalty.
Second is the King of the Island Natives, the wisets, strongest and most cunning of kings of past generations, from whom he traces his lineage.
Third and final is the Native Shaman, the closest advisor to the king, wisest and most senior tribal elder, and practioner of ancient spells from a long lost and mystical time.
Glad they're to your liking Harry, though now that I look at them I think the bodyguard and the king unit might be in need of an upward turned arm and sword as oppose to the current arm and sword turned downward.
How goes the map making and such Harry? Do you have any details to share in regards to the story itself? Perhaps a reason for why the Americans, Brits and Germans all find themselves on such a remote and mysterious island? And what exactly are they in search of?
