If everyone has Test of Time, there is a beautiful updated version of AE3500BC available on my site: http://www.tecumseh.150m.com/Convers...nversions.html

In expectation of my 10 identical posts I am afraid to send this message...

Unfortunately I don't have ToT ... but does your version have a different map?

No, it's the same map. There are no significant changes, except for a complete graphic upgrade, done with Kull's permission and support. I've attached a screenshot from AE1200, which is virtually identical.

Test of Time is available here for $10 US: http://www.download.com/3000-2119-10...ml?tag=lst-2-9

                  Yeah, I like them too.

Nice to see this proposed PBEM has not been entirely forgotten, but we aren't getting any closer to 7 players (plus the "ref" on my wishlist). Eurisko started a fairly similar PBEM (Hellas) at Evo and may have ditched this one.

Techumseh ? Straybow ? Any temptation to join in ?

Due to the death of La Fayette back in January we are in need of a player in the "New" Ancient Empires PbEM. Our Greek player kengel had wanted to bow out, but the new player had to replace the late Minos instead.

I'm sending a PM to Eurisko and Menelik.

                          Is this PBEM still on?
If this is so i would like to join.

                          Assyria or Greeks please.

Palaiologos: I am still interested, and maybe Eurisko and SlowThinker, but I guess Menelik has given up. So, we may have 4 players but we still need 3 more. Please check this thread again from time to time.

I might have an interest, since it would be starting at the beginning. I'd prefer the Minoans, if available. But I've always thought something random or a preference list was a fairer way to assign countries than just claiming "dibs".

I'd also prefer to try Barbarian Wrath, which I believe would require hotseat mode. I'm not sure if there are any negative ramifications (e.g., with Civ2Dip, on which I'm still a bit vague, anyway), but it could briefly expose a player's map to the next or previous player (requiring even more of an "honor system", I suppose). Otherwise, I suspect that the PBEM barbarian "bug" would also nerf the the default barbarians (Raging Hordes), and any work-around would unfairly penalize the Hittite and Minoan players.

If people consider the ToT option, we should consider creating a new event file with all (or some) of the single player events that wouldn't fit into the PBEM event file. They would fit in ToT. We'd have to edit out the redundant ones of course, and any that were intended to help an incompetent AI...

The ToT option sounds good, although if its the gfx update that made you consider it then i assure you the same can be done for MGE.

Actually there are no events aimed to help the AI, but it would be cool if all the events could fit in a MP game.
