That "Lost in Time" Doctor Who boxset will be at the top of my wishlist this year!! Being an avid fan of early film and television restoration, I have the upmost respect for the work that must have gone into piecing together the scattered fragments of original prints, still photo's and cut scenes into what will probally be the most comprehensive look at what will forever be the countless "Lost Episodes" of Doctor Who's early years.
I remember one story in particular about an episode from the early years that was sent by the BBC to Australia, but was deemed to graphic by Australian censors. What I heard happened was the Australian censors cut the footage that featured a man being hanged and aired the rest of the episode, which has since been lost in both Britain and Australia. Ironically, the footage of the man being hanged that was cut initially is all that remains of that entire episode, or so I've heard.
