        Sorry Cyrion. I did play Pomarj over the weekend, but unfortunately I was three sheets to the wind at the time, and accidentally destroyed my notes.
        I doubt I'll be able to play any more until Thursday, but if you get a patch/update done before then I'll use that instead.

              Sounds like a good way to suppress most of those messages! Only the ones from Suel will stay, which I guess would be bearable!

              I am afraid that won't do, because if I change an event file I'll have to apply delevent, effectively "resetting" all the tech triggered unit creation!

                  Yes I found it - pretty obvious if you've read the events file - as I said I think my mind was on something else.

                  It's a shame that the events file is so full. It would be good to have more information about the story - why we get the bonus for capturing Blue in week 1 and so on.

                  I deliberately got one of my heros killed twice. The first meassage is good (and atmospheric). Once again it's a pity there is no room for a message explaining why he can't be raised again.

                  You could gain some extra space by starting with the demons in place rather than creating them at the capture of Blue. I'm not sure whether the demons versus the extra cash is intended to be a puzzle that the player has to solve or a strategic decison. I think you could add a lot of interest to the scenario by deciding which you prefer and then making a feature of it - for example by highlighting it in the introduction.


                  I have played the new release a few times. So far I've not managed to get the fishing and fortification to survive, but the irrigated wheat helps maintain Blue's size. I assume this is just the luck of the draw. I have managed to capture Blue on the first turn without losing a hero, although I did lose a good defensive unit. On balance I think I prefer the 800 gold.

                  The new colours work a lot better for me - I can actually see the flag now!

                    Yes, that would be a good way to clear some space in the event file!

                    And pre-spending their movement allowance for the 1st turn should make sure they don't attack the expedition before the 2nd one!

Anyways, I noted that if I took blue with Halberdiers I got the improvements I wanted: Training Grounds, Fortifications and Fishing Harbour. When capturing it with Urnst footmen, I got other improvements, but none of the mentioned.

                          My impression was that the improvements that remain are broadly random with a bias against fishing harbour and fortifications. I'll have to try capturing with different units and see if I can replicate your results.

                              • Where's the link to the playtesting version? I want to give this one a try.

                                I love fantasy scenarios, much more than historical ones.

                                Am I too late to join the playtesting? I sure hope not!
