    Yay! South Park!
I am not delusional! Now if you'll excuse me, i'm gonna go dance with the purple wombat who's playing show-tunes in my coffee cup!
Rules are like Egg's. They're fun when thrown out the window!

Not south park, but I have been wondering whose artstyle
those characters are rendered in...They look damn familiar...

Too sketchy to be Phil Foglio, but not quite Vaughn or Mark Bode...

      Spill the beans, Smiley!

No particular style, it was simply a matter of making circular faces.

I think I've found a solution to the superunit that can only be killed by capturing a city. KillCiv event is less than ideal since captured cities would also be killed.

          1. You capture the target city.
          2. Unit owner gains a tech that makes unit obsolete.
          3. AI, in its infinite wisdom, disbands the unit.

Done some sandbox tests and this does seem to work. Can anyone confirm this?

          -------------------------------------------------------

City graphics mostly done. One unit slot remains up for suggestions.

              Text backup 6/2/05

              -------------------------------

Modding is now mostly complete, with just the map to do. So far, the city locations have been laid out. To give the player maximum opportunity for terrain development, cities are spaced so each can work at least 15 of the 21 tiles.

I'm systematically touring the Bay Area over the next month, with trips to Napa Valley and Santa Cruz this weekend. Most of the locations on the map are within a few hours on mass transit (though in the game, it'll take several months to drive from one end to the other )

Hey, I can see the route we took on our vacation!

In a few months you'll be able to relive it, behind the wheel of a candy-colored tank.

                      City placement and sizing complete.

Now working on some of the landscaping, such as the placement of impassable mountains.

Does anyone know what the maximum number of units that can be in the game at one time is?

New mountains? Very nice. When can we get out hands on them?

Also, how about an Alcatraz graphic? Maybe as a fortress, or a unit?

Smiley, you're terrain is brilliant. I don't suppose that you could post you're terrain graphics for people to start experimenting with already?
